Skydive, from Create, Inc., hosts AI agents that each get a cloud Linux computer, file-based memory and connected apps. People reach them on the web, in Slack, by email, SMS or iMessage, in a Mac app or from a CLI.
Best for A person or team who wants hosted agents with their own cloud computers, memory and connected apps, reachable in Slack, email, text and a CLI, and who can drive them from scripts through the CLI.

Is this your product? Claim it to see how agents find it: lookups through the API, MCP and letme, the comparisons it's in, and what people search for in Assistants. Free, and it never changes the grade. Or verify it, or log in if it's already claimed.
Assessment. Skydive publishes an OpenAPI 3.1 document, Markdown docs and scoped, agent-bound API keys, though outside agents can send it tasks only through the CLI. Its status page records several major incidents, including a 25-hour Agent Hosting outage, and its home and pricing pages say data is never used for training while the privacy policy turns training on by default.

- Surface listed
- The Skydive service as documented at www.skydive.com/docs (docs llms.txt, about 99 product pages and 409 integration pages), the REST API's OpenAPI document, the blog llms.txt, and the Terms, Privacy Policy and DPA read from the site's JS bundle, on 31 October 2026. No account was created and no authenticated call was made. The skydive.sh install script was not read or run.
- Who makes it
- Create, Inc., 214 Grant Ave, Suite 301, San Francisco, CA 94108, per the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy (29 July 2026). A Skydive blog post by Dhruv Amin calls Create "the company behind Anything and Skydive" (https://www.skydive.com/blog/llms.txt).
- Where it runs
- Each agent runs in its own isolated Linux sandbox in the cloud, which sleeps when idle and is ephemeral; memory, persona, tools and MCP config persist in a git repository per agent (https://www.skydive.com/docs/get-started/faq.md). Subprocessors named in the privacy policy include E2B and Vercel for sandboxes, AWS for hosting and storage, and Cloudflare. Processing may occur in the United States and where subprocessors operate (DPA Annex).
- What it acts on
- A cloud browser, terminal, files, web search, hosted web apps and a managed Postgres database (https://www.skydive.com/docs/capabilities/overview.md). Connected services by OAuth, MCP, API key or browser sign-in, including Gmail, Google Calendar, Drive, Contacts and Tasks (privacy policy section 3). Its own email inbox and phone number. With Portal, files, commands, localhost and the signed-in browser on the owner's Mac or Linux machine, off by default and granted per agent (https://www.skydive.com/docs/integrations/portal.md). Payments through connected services such as Agentcard virtual cards (https://www.skydive.com/docs/integrations/agentcard.md).
- Channels
- Web chat, Slack, email (an address on skydivemail.ai or a custom domain on paid plans), SMS and iMessage (a free shared pool line or a US$100 a month dedicated line), a macOS desktop app (macOS 10.15 or later) and the CLI for macOS and Linux. One identity and one memory across channels (https://www.skydive.com/docs/channels/overview.md).
- Outside agent access
- The REST API at https://api.skydive.com/v1 manages agents, API keys and secrets with bearer keys; versioned by path, additive-only within v1, cursor pagination, errors as {"error": ...} (https://www.skydive.com/docs/api-reference/overview.md). Tasks are sent from scripts with the CLI's
chat -pprint mode (https://www.skydive.com/docs/cli/scripting.md). Skydive is not an MCP server; its agents connect to MCP servers by catalogue or URL (https://www.skydive.com/docs/integrations/mcp.md). Agents can also be reached by email or text from outside a workspace when their outside-access level is Use (https://www.skydive.com/docs/agents/permissions.md). - Sending limits
- Agents send email only when asked. The shared email domain allows 10 outbound emails per rolling week per workspace; replies and inbound mail don't count, and custom domains aren't capped. Text agents reply only in threads they are already in and can't text a number that never wrote to them (https://www.skydive.com/docs/channels/email.md and https://www.skydive.com/docs/channels/text.md).
- Credentials
- Every outbound request from the sandbox passes through Skydive's proxy, which attaches stored credentials per agent and per host, path and method rule, and the Secrets and Network controls pages say the agent never holds the raw value. The OpenAPI description of setAgentSecret says a secret also becomes an environment variable in the agent's sandbox, and the platform CLI inside the sandbox lists
secrets getandsecrets download --plainto read values. Secrets are write-only over the REST API (https://www.skydive.com/docs/capabilities/network.md, https://www.skydive.com/docs/api-reference/cli/secrets.md, https://api.skydive.com/v1/openapi.json). - Models
- 300+ models from OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, Google and open-source providers, with Skydive Glide as the default router. Workspaces can restrict routing to no-training or zero-data-retention providers. Agents with Google connections are limited to zero-retention routes (https://www.skydive.com/docs/account/model-settings.md and https://www.skydive.com/docs/agents/trusted-models.md). The launch post says 170+.
- Data handling
- Training on customer content is on by default with a workspace or organisation opt-out; an Order Form may add a no-training covenant. Deleted content leaves active systems within 30 days. After termination, content is exportable for 60 days and deleted from active systems within 90 days. Content-level network logs are kept up to 30 days and metadata, metering and security logs up to 12 months. Breach notice within 48 hours. No sale of personal information (privacy policy sections 4, 8, 9 and 10).
- Terms
- 18 or older. Customers are responsible for their agents' actions, including transactions and payments. Liability capped at the greater of 12 months' fees or US$100, doubled for breaches of the secrets and security sections. California law, AAA arbitration with a class-action waiver and an opt-out. 14 days' notice of material changes (Terms of Service sections 1, 4, 13, 15 and 17).
- Release history
- The docs changelog runs from 29 April to 6 September (no year given), including the CLI and API keys on 15 June and the move to skydive.com on 29 June (https://www.skydive.com/docs/changelog.md). skydive-cli on npm was created 21 July 2026; 0.5.0, the latest stable, was published 26 August 2026 and 0.6.0-beta.191 on 31 October 2026. The package has no repository field and no install hooks (https://registry.npmjs.org/skydive-cli).
- Status and security contact
- status.skydive.com is an incident.io page with components for API, Agents, Agent Hosting, Channels, Email, Slack and Web App, and lists incidents such as "Agents unresponsive" and "Degraded credentials/auth" with timestamps between 3 September and 29 October 2026. security.txt names security@skydive.com and expires 1 January 2027.
- Personal use
- The FAQ and launch post describe agents for teams and individuals; the Starter plan is described as "for individuals getting started". The use-case post has a Personal section (items 207 to 231) and the launch post says "everyone has an EA agent they email, Slack, and text" (https://www.skydive.com/blog/llms.txt).
Facts verified 31 October 2026 from vendor docs, repositories and package registries. JSON · Markdown
Strengths
- A public OpenAPI 3.1 document covers all 11 API operations, and llms.txt indexes a Markdown copy of every docs page.
- API keys carry a read-only
useor aneditscope, can be bound to one agent, are stored hashed and revoke immediately. - Owners and admins get an always-on, exportable audit log covering secret access, API-key changes and sign-ins, per the Roles page.
- The privacy policy names 22 subprocessors and gives retention periods of 30, 60 and 90 days and 12 months.
- Free workspaces start with credit and no card, and per-token model rates are published at cost (the vendor's claim).
Weaknesses
- The API has no operation for sending an agent a task. That runs through the CLI's
chat -p, outside the OpenAPI contract. - Several major incidents in 90 days, among them a 25-hour Agent Hosting outage on 28 and 29 October 2026, per status.skydive.com.
- The home page and pricing FAQ say data is never used to train models, while the privacy policy turns training on by default.
- The docs say agents never see secrets, but the platform CLI inside the sandbox can print raw secret values.
- The site says SOC 2 compliant and shows a SOC 2 Type 1 badge, while the DPA says no SOC 2 report has been completed.
Before you call it notes for agents
- Send tasks with
skydive chat -p "..." --agent <id> --jsonand pass--conversation <id>from the JSON to keep context. The REST API can't send a task. - Don't retry
chat -por a create blindly after a timeout. There's no idempotency key, so list agents or keys before retrying. - Ask the owner for an agent-bound
usekey when you only need to read. Account-leveleditkeys can create agents and mint keys. - Treat secrets stored for an agent as readable from its sandbox, and keep agents that hold them closed to outside senders.
- Tell the owner that training on their content is on by default and is turned off per workspace or organisation.

Notable
- The public OpenAPI 3.1 document lists 11 operations, all for management. They list, get, create and suggest names for agents, start an onboarding conversation, list, create and revoke an agent's API keys, and list, set and delete an agent's secrets. It has no operation for sending a message or task to an agent source
- Sending work to an agent from a script is documented through the CLI,
skydive chat -p "..." --agent <name> --json, which returns the reply and a messageId and accepts --conversation to continue a thread source - The web app's JS bundle has an "API access" dialog that, after an agent is published, shows an endpoint at https://<shortid>.skydive.run with OpenAI-style /v1/chat/completions examples using a sky_live_ key. This endpoint is not in the public docs or the OpenAPI document and was not called source
- One unauthenticated GET to https://api.skydive.com/v1/agents on 31 October 2026 returned 401 with the body {"error":"unauthorized"} and no WWW-Authenticate header
- The privacy policy (29 July 2026) says training on customer content is on by default and can be turned off per workspace or organisation, and that data from Google and Slack APIs, End User data and Secrets are never used for training. Marketing copy in the site bundle says "your data is never used to train models" source
- The privacy policy and the DPA say Create is pursuing SOC 2 compliance and has not completed a SOC 2 or ISO 27001 report. The site bundle carries a "SOC 2 Type 1" footer badge and the line "SOC 2 compliant" source
- The launch post "Introducing Skydive" by Marcus Lowe and Dhruv Amin is dated 20 August 2026 and says Skydive is available today with self-serve signup. A post the same day says Create ran Anything, its app builder, on Skydive agents and gave 20 companies early access source
- Integration counts differ across the vendor's pages, with 600+ in the changelog (23 August) and 700+ and 900+ in blog posts of 20 August. The docs index lists 409 integration pages source
- The Terms, Privacy Policy and DPA are client-rendered. Their text was read from the site's JS bundle, where each carries front matter marked

Read with the hosted lines, on the service as a whole, since the REST API and the CLI reach the same agents. status.skydive.com is an incident.io page with components for Web App, API, Agents, Agent Hosting, Slack, Email and iMessage & SMS, with history from 14 August 2026 (20). It lists seven incidents in the 90 days to 31 October. Agent Hosting (agents' web servers and webhook endpoints) was in full outage from 19:24 UTC on 28 October to 21:01 on 29 October, about 25 hours 36 minutes. On 11 September "Degraded credentials/auth" put Agents in partial outage for 2 hours 41 minutes, with Slack, Email and iMessage & SMS in partial outage and the API degraded for 50 minutes. On 25 October "Agents unresponsive" ran 9 hours 14 minutes, recorded as degraded performance. Three more degraded periods of one to three hours (3 and 15 September, 12 October) and a short outage of Agents and the Web App on 18 September. Several majors (0). No rate limit is published in numbers for the API, where agent creation answers 429 against an unstated quota, and the free floor allows "a few runs per hour". The one figure found is 10 outbound emails a rolling week on the shared mail domain, a channel cap rather than a request limit (3 of 15). The API overview says what 429 means and to retry 5xx with backoff, the secret delete is documented as safe to retry, and the troubleshooting page says one retry is almost always safe. No Retry-After, and no idempotency key or retry guidance for creating agents and keys or for sending a task with chat -p (8 of 15, as Akoya and EasyPost for backoff guidance without Retry-After or idempotency keys). No SLA, and the terms supply the service as is and as available (0). The API is v1 at version 1.0.0 and isn't labelled beta, and the CLI's stable channel is 0.5.0 beside a beta channel (10). Graded on the REST API at api.skydive.com/v1 and the CLI's print mode, the two routes an outside agent can use, the Zo reading for a hosted assistant with a public API. Skydive is not an MCP server. A public OpenAPI 3.1 document served by the API covers all 11 operations for agents, keys and secrets, with a bearer security scheme. It has no operation for sending an agent a message or task, which is documented only as the CLI command skydive chat -p, so the contract leaves out the main job, as the Gemini API's spec leaves out the Interactions API its guides lead with (20 of 25). llms.txt, llms-full.txt and a Markdown copy of every docs page (10). Operation descriptions state purpose, the scope and binding each needs and when to use it ("Use this to check whether a key exists before setting or rotating it"), and say what agent-bound keys can't do. The OpenAPI security scheme says keys are scoped to a single agent while the overview documents account-level keys (16 of 20). Inputs are typed with required lists, enums for scope and os, bounds on limit (1 to 100) and on name lengths, and no free-form JSON bodies. The secret-name rule sits in prose with no pattern, and the task itself is a free-text prompt, the Zo reading (11 of 15). curl examples with responses in the overview, example values throughout the schemas, error responses listed per operation and in a status table, and a troubleshooting page that maps each run error message to a fix. One error shape with an optional code and no list of codes (12 of 15). The path carries the version and the overview commits to additive-only changes within v1. The public changelog is dated by day and month with no year, and its newest entry is 6 September (12 of 15). Total 81.

Graded on the REST API and the CLI's print mode. API responses are small, limit sizes the agent list and the CLI has --json and --quiet, but nothing selects fields and the length of an agent's reply can't be set (14 of 25). Cursor pagination with limit and a mine or org filter on the agent list. The key and secret lists aren't paginated, and the CLI continues a thread with --conversation (14 of 20). Errors share one JSON shape, a 403 says which scope or binding was missing and never partly succeeds, the 404 behaviour is stated, and the troubleshooting page gives a fix for each run error. Machine codes appear only on some errors and aren't listed (15 of 20). Reads are GETs, setting a secret replaces it and deleting one is documented as safe to retry. Creating an agent or a key and sending a task with chat -p have no idempotency key, and each -p call starts a new conversation (8 of 20). Every create field is optional, --agent is optional for an account with one agent, and defaults are stated. No SDK in any language, only the TypeScript CLI on npm (8 of 15). Total 59.

Graded on the REST API and the CLI with the tool lines. API keys (sky_live_) carry a use (read) or edit scope and are bound to one agent or to the account. They're stored as a hash, shown once, show a 12-character prefix and a last-used time, and revoke at once, and rotation is by minting a new key. No expiry is documented, and the scripting guide sends non-interactive chat -p through SKYDIVE_SESSION_TOKEN, a session for the whole account, though the authentication page says a key now works for chat too. No secret goes in a query string. Scrapewise took 26 for scoped, hashed, revocable keys with no expiry, and one comes off here for the account-wide session route (25 of 30). The use scope is read-only on the API and agent binding keeps a key to one agent. Agents have View, Use, Edit and Owner roles, Portal access to a person's machine is default-deny and approved per agent, and a bigger machine needs a person's approval. Review before an agent sends or acts (training mode) is turned on by asking in chat and isn't a default, and API deletes and revocations run without confirmation (12 of 20). Agents read mail, web pages and Slack, and anyone can message an agent opened beyond its workspace at the default Use level, with a warning in the docs. The terms (section 5) say automated systems inspect outbound requests and block those that break the owner's rules, such as never disclosing a credential. No prompt-injection guidance was found in the full docs text, and the platform CLI lets an agent read secret values, which weakens the proxy model (6 of 15). The Roles page documents an always-on workspace audit log that owners and admins can view and export, covering role changes, secret access, integration connects, API-key changes and sign-ins, while the plans page lists audit logs under Enterprise. Keys show their last use, and the feed and run history record what an agent did (11 of 15). A valid security.txt names security@skydive.com and expires on 1 January 2027. No disclosure policy, bug bounty or advisories were found, and the DPA and privacy policy say Create is pursuing SOC 2 and has completed no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 report, so the site's SOC 2 badge earns nothing. Prism Inference and the Getty Images MCP server took 5 for a valid security.txt and nothing more (5 of 20). Total 59.

| Read with the hosted rule. No x402, MPP or L402 in the docs, the OpenAPI document or the site's script (0). Plan prices are public (Free at US$0, Starter US$20 and Team US$200 a month per workspace, Enterprise custom, a US$100 a month dedicated iMessage line), and the model catalogue lists per-token rates passed through at cost (the vendor's claim). Sandbox compute and metered services such as search and email draw the balance at rates not published in the docs (15 of 20). The billing page says every workspace starts on Free with no card required and a small amount of credit (20). A person signs up in a browser with Google, Slack or a password, the CLI's chat sign-in is a browser device flow, and a key can be minted over the API only with an existing key, so an agent can't get access by itself (0). Closed service under Terms of Service from Create, Inc. effective 29 July 2026, with a named entity and address, and the CLI is MIT (15). Neither makes the terms unclear. Training on customer content is on by default with a workspace opt-out, while the home page and the pricing FAQ say data is never used to train models. The DPA applies only to Order Form customers (18 of 30). The API commits to additive-only changes within v1 with breaking changes in a new version, the terms give 14 days' notice of material changes and 30 days' notice before ending the service for convenience, and free tiers may change at any time. No deprecation policy with a notice period was found, the Zeplin reading (8 of 20). The privacy policy names 22 subprocessors by role, among them E2B, Vercel, Anthropic, OpenAI, AWS and Cloudflare, says managed model providers don't train on content, and points to skydive.com/subprocessors, which we didn't read. Locations are given only as the United States and wherever subprocessors operate, the Zo reading (14 of 20). Total 55. | |||

Graded 52.1 D methodology v0.7
Fix list 22 items, the biggest gain first
Everything this grade says the listing lacks, from the reasons above, the checklist, the provenance checks, the deductions, what we couldn't check and what the review panel asked for, with the steps, ready to paste into a coding agent working on Skydive. A fix counts at the next check, once it's public.
You're lucky. As part of the beta you're in for free.
What we couldn't check
- Interface choice. Schema, ergonomics and security were graded on the REST API and the CLI's print mode together, since the API manages agents and keys and only the CLI sends tasks, the Zo reading for a hosted assistant with a public API rather than the Grok Bot reading for admin-only routes.
- Whether the environment variable a secret becomes in the sandbox holds the real value or a placeholder the proxy replaces. The OpenAPI and platform CLI pages read as the real value, and the Secrets page says the agent never sees it.
- Whether a SOC 2 Type 1 report exists after 29 July 2026. The footer badge says so, the DPA and privacy policy say no report was complete as of that date, and no report or trust centre was found.
- The training, SOC 2 and secrets copy was read from the script components for the home page's security section, the pricing FAQ and the site footer. The pages weren't rendered with JavaScript, so their live display wasn't seen.
- Whether the rendered Terms, Privacy Policy and DPA show the
status: draftmarked in their source wasn't established. - The site's script holds an "API access" dialog with an OpenAI-style /v1/chat/completions endpoint at <shortid>.skydive.run for published agents. It isn't in the public docs or the OpenAPI document and wasn't called or graded.
- Which audit log applies by plan. The Roles page says owners and admins can always view and export it, while the plans page lists audit logs under Enterprise.
- unchecked: the subprocessor list at skydive.com/subprocessors and the CASA AL1 badge in the footer.
- The changelog gives day and month with no year. The dates were read as 2026, consistent with the move to skydive.com on 29 June and the domain record changed on 2 July 2026.
- Whether Free sign-up asks for a card wasn't tested. No account was created, and the billing page says no card is required.

Not measured yet. Our benchmark probes haven't run, so there's no availability, latency or error rate from a run and Performance is pending. The live panel above has what the pollers have seen so far, which doesn't change the score.

Tell us where it is
We read it once now and again every week. If the link is missing two weeks in a row the listing says so, and a later check puts it back.
Agents send the same to POST /api/v1/verify as {"slug": "skydive", "url": "…"}, or call the verify_listing tool at /mcp. Ten checks an hour from one address. What we check. To announce the listing, get sharing assets for social media.

Disclosure
Skydive competes with LocalGhost, which Anchor Terminal's founder builds. It's graded by the same published checklist as every listing, neither stricter nor looser. Two research agents graded it independently, and a third reconciled them item by item, checking the evidence itself wherever they disagreed instead of keeping either award by default.
