Verdicts

Resy

Resy is American Express's diner reservation network, now including Tock's venues, with venue plans priced from $289 a month and a public status page. Outside agents have no public API or MCP server. Resy reaches assistants through its own apps in Claude and ChatGPT and an Amex-hosted MCP endpoint that accepts only pre-registered clients.

Treatwell

Treatment and venue discovery with visible consumer prices. Open agent booking access was not verified.

Before you call either

Resy

  1. Don't plan to call Resy from another agent. Hand the booking to the person in the Resy app, or in Resy's app inside Claude or ChatGPT
  2. Do not automate the Resy website or app, since Resy runs a bot-detection programme against automated booking
  3. Don't give a Resy password to an unofficial server such as io.github.chrischall/resy-mcp. It isn't Resy's and asks for the account email and password
  4. Check status.resy.com before a booking run. The 7 October maintenance took app login, search and booking offline for two hours

Treatwell

  1. Hand the final booking to the person unless Treatwell has approved an integration.
  2. Check the selected venue’s cancellation deadline and payment option.
