Before you call either

GoCardless Bank Account Data

  1. Cache the access token for its 24 hours and use /api/v2/token/refresh/ rather than minting a new pair each run
  2. Create the end user agreement before the requisition when you need other than 90 days of history or access
  3. Read the per-account rate limit headers; on 429 wait for the account reset time, since some banks allow 4 calls a day
  4. Poll /api/v2/accounts/{id}/ until status is READY before asking for transactions
  5. Call the REST endpoints directly; the Nordigen SDKs still install but get no fixes

Teller

  1. In sandbox call https://api.teller.io/accounts with -u "$TELLER_ACCESS_TOKEN:" and no certificate; add the client certificate only for development and production
  2. On a 404 enrollment.disconnected.* code, stop and send the user back through Teller Connect in update mode; retrying won't help
  3. Pin the Teller-Version header so a dashboard upgrade doesn't change response shapes under you
  4. Widen transaction syncs 7 to 10 days past the last sync to catch pending items that change date
  5. Send an Idempotency-Key on every payment request; keys are kept for 72 hours
