Before you call either
Invofox
- Ask the owner for an API key and the Document Type id or alias from app.invofox.com. No API endpoint lists Document Types
- Upload with POST /v1/ingest/uploads as multipart, with
infoas a JSON string. Send"useClassifier": truein place oftypeto have the type detected - Expect 404 from GET /documents/{id} for the first seconds. Poll from 5 seconds with doubling, and stop at approved, pendingCorrection or discarded
- Handle the
file.rejectedwebhook or check the import. A rejected file never produces a document, so polling the document waits indefinitely - Do not retry an upload blindly. There is no idempotency key, so send your own id in
clientDataand look it up withfilterfirst
Reducto API + MCP
- Use
/parse_asyncor/extract_asyncwith a webhook for anything long; sync calls time out at 900 seconds - Pass
jobid://<job_id>from a parse into extract or split so you don't pay to parse twice - Call
get_jobwhen a tool returns a URL result instead of reading fields from the truncated reply - The hosted MCP can't read local files; run
uvx mcp-server-reductowhen the agent needs to upload from disk - Set
REDUCTO_TELEMETRY=0in the local server's environment to turn off usage telemetry
