Why the edge

Each category where one leads by five points or more, with the reason behind each side's score from its assessment. The numbers are in the table below; this is what they stand for.

Agent ergonomics Glimpse +56

Glimpse 66

Model reading of the checklist (tool use, structured output, caching, context, batch, SDKs, errors). Function tools with tool_choice none, auto or required, but not a named function, and the multimodal tools and subagents the launch post describes are not exposed (native_tools is empty) (12 of 20). response_format and structured_outputs are listed, with enforcement depending on Together's deployment and no Elorian documentation (10 of 15). Implicit prompt caching at $0.06 per million cached input tokens, a tenth of the input price, with OpenRouter's sticky routing (12 of 15). 262,144-token context with up to 256,000 output tokens (12 of 15). No batch endpoint for this model, since its only endpoint has no :batch variant (0 of 10). OpenRouter's SDKs in TypeScript, Python and Go, and any OpenAI client works (10 of 10). OpenRouter's documented error codes with limit_source and remedy hints, nothing specific to video or image limits (10 of 15). 66.

SWE-2 Flash 10

Model reading (tool use, structured output, caching, context, batch, SDKs). Tool use is Devin's harness, not something a caller configures; no context length, output limit or cache price is published for SWE-2 Flash (5 of 25). No documented output-size or reasoning controls for this model; SWE-2's effort levels aren't stated for Flash (0 of 20). No model-level error documentation (0 of 20). No idempotency or retry guidance (0 of 20). One flag or picker selects it and devin -p runs a single turn and prints to stdout, but there is no SDK or direct endpoint (5 of 15). 5 + 0 + 0 + 0 + 5 = 10.

Schema & documentation Glimpse +31

Glimpse 60

Model reading. Elorian publishes no API reference, model card or llms.txt in public. Its console docs need a sign-in. The contract an agent has is OpenRouter's generic OpenAPI-documented chat endpoint plus the model API's list of supported parameters, which is not specific to Glimpse (20 of 25). OpenRouter's llms.txt and Markdown docs, including video input (10). The launch post and OpenRouter's description name the jobs (visual search, video captioning, dense counting, robotics planning) and the post states limits (token cost, no action outputs yet), but nothing says when not to use it or how video is sampled (6 of 20). Typed parameters on OpenRouter, with tool_choice limited to none, auto and required, and no documented reasoning effort levels for this model (10 of 15). OpenRouter's examples and error reference, with no Glimpse-specific examples or limits on video length or image count (7 of 15). OpenRouter's dated changelog and a dated canonical slug, glimpse-20261016, but no changelog from Elorian (7 of 15). 60.

SWE-2 Flash 29

Model reading. No model API, so no OpenAPI entry; the Devin v3 OpenAPI file lists SWE-2 agents only, and no model card was found (0). docs.devin.ai serves llms.txt and Markdown copies of every page (10). The launch post says what it is for (automations, code review, feature development, documentation) and the CLI docs say when to pick a SWE model, but the models pages don't list SWE-2 Flash yet (6 of 20). No documented model ID, reasoning settings, context or output limits to type (0 of 15). The CLI pages show --model and /model examples, with no model-specific errors (3 of 15). Named, dated model versions on Cognition's blog and public release notes, but no release note for SWE-2 Flash yet; the newest is 2 November (10 of 15). 0 + 10 + 6 + 0 + 3 + 10 = 29.

Transparency & trust SWE-2 Flash +26

Glimpse 38

Closed model under clear terms (California law, arbitration with an opt-out, liability caps), with weights not released and the open-weight base model unnamed (13 of 30). The privacy policy and terms agree that Elorian trains on submitted content, but disagree on who may opt out (anyone by privacy@elorian.ai in the policy, paid users by contact@elorian.ai in the terms), say only that 'different terms may apply' to API use, and give no retention periods. The published privacy and acceptable use pages carry a leftover drafting comment from a terms outline, and the acceptable use page is titled Privacy Policy (10 of 30). No deprecation policy or dated notices, and the terms allow discontinuation without notice (0 of 20). Services hosted in the United States and subprocessors named by category only. On this route, OpenRouter names Together as the provider and shows its data policy (8 of 20). 31.

SWE-2 Flash 64

Editorial half. Closed model under Cognition's platform terms; the weights aren't public and the sharing programme isn't described yet (15). Terms, privacy policy, security page and DPA agree, with training on self-serve data by default and no retention periods, as read for the devin listing (18). The API versioning policy covers API endpoints, not models, and no model deprecation notice was found (5 of 20). Sub-processors listed with purpose and country, per the devin listing's 8 October check (18). 15 + 18 + 5 + 18 = 56.

Reliability SWE-2 Flash +12

Glimpse 38

Hosted lines, read on the OpenRouter route. OpenRouter has a status page at status.openrouter.ai, which covers the platform rather than this model, and Elorian has none found (10 of 20). The endpoint is a day old. OpenRouter's model API reports 98.7 per cent uptime over the last day and 100 per cent over the last 30 minutes on 17 October 2026, which is not a 90-day record (5). OpenRouter's limits page documents credit, budget and rate limits and a key endpoint that reports what's left, but sets no request cap on paid models, and no limit for Glimpse or the Together deployment was found (8 of 15). The errors page documents Retry-After on 429 and 503 and on 402 in-flight budget errors, and says the official SDKs honour it (15). No SLA from Elorian or for this endpoint (0). Elorian labels Glimpse a research preview (0). 38.

SWE-2 Flash 50

Model reading, for the surface it runs on, Devin Desktop and Devin CLI. Status page at www.devinstatus.com (Atlassian Statuspage) with Desktop Agent and Desktop Tab components besides the cloud ones, read on 4 November 2026 (20). The history feed for the 90 days from 6 August lists 'Devin unavailable' for 20 minutes on 13 August with no component named, read as across the board and a major as on the devin listing; Devin Cloud unavailable on 13 August and the web app down on 24 September name cloud surfaces this model doesn't use; the rest are degraded-performance incidents (new sessions on 3 September, 'multiple services' on 17 September, Ask Devin on 26 October, automation triggers on 4 November) and session queuing on 10 and 11 August, read as minor and a scheduled Devin Desktop extension marketplace upgrade on 7 August, read as maintenance. One major (10). No rate limit figures for the model or the CLI; usage is a daily and weekly quota with no numbers (0). No 429, backoff or retry guidance for this surface (0). Cognition publishes an SLA (25 February 2026) with uptime and response times that applies when included in an order form, read as a contractual SLA on Enterprise, as on other listings (10). The launch post makes it available today with no preview or beta label (10). 20 + 10 + 0 + 0 + 10 + 10 = 50.

Payments & pricing Glimpse +5

Glimpse 25

No machine payment protocol on OpenRouter or from Elorian (0). Per-token prices published without a login on OpenRouter and in Elorian's launch post (20). Glimpse has no free variant on OpenRouter. Elorian's post says it can be tried free on Elorian's platform, which needs a sign-in, and whether a card is needed was not established (5 of 20). A person signs up in a browser on either route, and OpenRouter's programmatic keys come only after that (0). 25.

SWE-2 Flash 20

Published rubric. No payment protocol (0). Plan prices are public, but no per-token price for SWE-2 Flash is on a readable page; the docs' cost table loads in the browser and the post gives only 'one-fifth the price' of SWE-2 (10). Free through 30 November 2026 on Devin Desktop and CLI, but the docs say Free tier users only have SWE-1.6, so whether the Free plan reaches it, and without a card, isn't confirmed; the in-between value used on the devin listing (10). A person signs in through a browser (0). 0 + 10 + 10 + 0 = 20.

Verdicts

Glimpse

Glimpse reads images and video at $0.60 input and $3.00 output per million tokens, and OpenRouter serves it with tools, structured output and a 262,144-token context. It is a research preview with no public Elorian docs, model card or status page, and Elorian's terms allow training on submitted content unless a paid user opts out.

SWE-2 Flash

A new small coding model from Cognition that anyone can try free in Devin Desktop and Devin CLI until 30 November 2026, with strong vendor-reported coding scores. It has no model API, no published per-token price, context length or model card, and no public weights, so an agent can reach it only by driving Devin's own CLI.

Before you call either

Glimpse

  1. Call it through OpenRouter as elorian/glimpse at https://openrouter.ai/api/v1/chat/completions. Elorian's own API docs sit behind a console sign-in
  2. Send video as a video_url content part, as a public URL or a base64 data URL. Batch requests are not available for this model
  3. Set max_tokens yourself. The endpoint allows up to 256,000 output tokens, and visual reasoning spends many of them
  4. Honour Retry-After on 429 and 503. With a single provider, a 503 means the Together deployment is unavailable, not that another host can take over
  5. Treat counts and timestamps as unverified. Elorian's terms say outputs need independent human review before anyone relies on them

SWE-2 Flash

  1. There is no endpoint to call. Run Devin CLI single-turn with devin -p and pick the model with --model; the SWE-2 Flash model ID isn't documented yet, so check /model in the CLI first
  2. Don't rely on the short name swe. The docs say it resolves to the latest model in the family, which may be SWE-2 rather than SWE-2 Flash
  3. Plan for billing to start on 1 December 2026. The free period covers Devin Desktop and CLI only, not Devin cloud sessions
  4. Treat Cognition's benchmark figures as the vendor's. No independent result for SWE-2 Flash was found
  5. Keep credentials.toml private. The token in it doesn't expire by default and carries the signed-in user's access
