Youtrust SAS · youtrust.com since 2004 · status page · who's behind it
Youtrust, formerly Yousign, is a French electronic signature and digital trust service. Its Public API v3 creates signature requests with documents, signers and fields, activates and tracks them, runs identity and company checks, applies electronic seals and sends webhooks.
Best for A European product team that needs eIDAS-level signatures, seals and identity checks hosted in France, with a typed API and read-only keys for agents that track status.
Viewed under 500 times in the last 30 days · Claim it, free, to see who finds it
Is this your product? Claim it to see how agents find it: lookups through the API, MCP and letme, the comparisons it's in, and what people search for in E-signatures. Free, and it never changes the grade. Or verify it, or log in if it's already claimed.
Assessment. A public OpenAPI file with 178 operations, llms.txt, read-only and workspace-scoped keys, published rate limits with headers, SLAs on paid plans and a 40-day sandbox with no card. There are no idempotency keys or official SDKs, production needs a yearly plan from €1,248, and a signature request takes several calls to build and activate.

- MCP servers
- AI connector at https://api.yousign.app/mcp with OAuth, for Claude, ChatGPT, Mistral Vibe and Dust, in every plan; the help centre shows it checking signatures, listing pending requests, creating drafts, editing them and sending from templates after asking. Developer MCP at https://developers.youtrust.com/mcp, Streamable HTTP, docs search and endpoint discovery without a key, an execute-request tool with a Bearer key, no file upload. Neither tool list is published
- Rate limits
- Sandbox 30 a minute and 200 an hour, production 60 a minute and 1,200 an hour, across all endpoints. Headers x-ratelimit-limit-minute, x-ratelimit-remaining-minute, x-ratelimit-limit-hour, x-ratelimit-remaining-hour and Ratelimit-Reset, omitted when the limiter is unreachable. Higher limits by a request form
- Errors
- 400, 401, 403, 404, 405, 415, 429, 500 and 503 documented, with a JSON body of type, detail and optional invalid_params (name and reason). A list of error types is published
- Pagination
- Cursor pagination with limit and after on 26 list operations, with filters such as status, workspace_id, created_at and date ranges
- Webhooks

- Status
- yousign.statuspage.io on Atlassian Statuspage with an incident history. Between 5 August and 3 November 2026 one incident of HTTP 500s on the public API (7 October, 48 minutes in two windows), several delays at identity verification providers and regular scheduled maintenances
- Legal entity
- Youtrust SAS, Rue de Suède, Avenue Pierre Berthelot, 14000 Caen, France, RCS Caen 794 513 986, per the legal notice and the Terms of Use and Subscription (updated 2 July 2026). Hosted by Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL's French branch per the legal notice
Facts verified 3 November 2026 from vendor docs, repositories and package registries. JSON · Markdown
Strengths
- OpenAPI 3.0.0 file with 178 operations, 282 enums and 1,307 examples, plus llms.txt and a Markdown twin of every page
- API keys scoped to an Organization or a Workspace with Read-Only or Full-Access permission, created only by Admins and Owners
- Rate limits published per minute and hour for sandbox and production, with x-ratelimit headers and a 429 message
- Signature requests are created as drafts and activated in a separate call, so an agent can check documents, signers and fields before anyone is notified
- Clean error format with a type, a detail and invalid_params per field, and a cursor pagination of limit and after on every list
- 40-day sandbox trial with no card, and 99 per cent and 99.9 per cent SLAs on the Plus and Pro API plans
Weaknesses
- No idempotency keys, and no Retry-After on the 429
- No official SDK in any language; the docs point to OpenAPI Generator, Swagger Codegen and a Postman collection
- Production access needs a yearly API plan from €1,248 with 500 signatures, and €2 per signature above it
- The Developer MCP's execute-request tool runs any call with the full permissions of the key, including activation, cancellation and deletion, and the MCP tool lists are not published
- The rename to Youtrust is partial. API hosts, the status page and security.txt still carry the Yousign name, and the OpenAPI servers point at yousign.app

- Build a signature request in steps,

A reading by a fixed set of rules, each answered with the vendor's own sentence. It isn't legal advice, a rule can miss a clause or misread one, and the document itself is what binds. How it's read and scored.
The Terms of Use and Subscription (updated 2 July 2026), the legal notice and the privacy policy name Youtrust SAS of Caen, France, RCS Caen 794 513 986, under French law. Youtrust is the new name of Yousign SAS, announced in November 2025 with the company name changing from mid-May 2026 and the website in mid-July 2026.
The terms require subscribers to comply with the API rate limit policy in the documentation and forbid decompiling the platform. No clause on automated access to the public pages was found.
developers.youtrust.com/robots.txt allows everything except /*/api-next, /cdn-cgi/, /edit/, /suggested-edits/, /login and /logout, carries Content-Signal ai-train=no, search=yes, ai-input=yes, and points to llms.txt. youtrust.com/robots.txt disallows nothing. help.youtrust.com disallows two error paths with a crawl delay of 1 second.
The API and the AI connector answer at api.yousign.app and api-sandbox.yousign.app, the company's former domain, not youtrust.com. The Developer MCP is on developers.youtrust.com.
youtrust.com/.well-known/security.txt is a PGP-signed file naming security@yousign.com, expiring 26 March 2028, with a policy link to yousign.com/security and a canonical URL on yousign.com.
RDAP gives youtrust.com a registration date of 3 April 2004, long before the company's 2013 founding, so the domain was acquired for the rename.

Backed byLead Edge Capital,Hexa
Researched 3 November 2026 from public pages. Youtrust's press page (read 3 November 2026) names Alban Sayag as CEO since 2022 and says the company was founded in 2013; its about page gives the founding year and B Corp status but no founder names. The 2021 funding post on the company blog names Luc Pallavidino as CEO, and the Hexa post on the same round calls him co-founder. Hexa refers to a second founder only as Antoine, and no Youtrust page read gives his full name, so he is left out. The legal notice names Christopher Parola as publication manager, a legal role rather than a product one. No personal LinkedIn, X or GitHub account is linked from a Youtrust page, so none is listed. Youtrust SAS is the renamed Yousign SAS, RCS Caen 794 513 986. Shown for information, not part of the grade yet. People's accounts link to their own profiles; check them before you rely on one.

Between 5 August and 3 November 2026 the feed records HTTP 500 errors on the public API from 11:24 to 11:35 and 14:42 to 15:19 CEST on 7 October, caused by an infrastructure provider; about 45 minutes of delayed advanced and unavailable qualified signatures on 13 August; identity verification delays at a third-party provider on 1 September (most of a day), 2 September, 14 September and 16 October (33 minutes); 16 minutes of delayed seals on 16 October; email delays to Microsoft mailboxes on 4 September; and Orange network routing on 2 October. Several incidents, mostly at identity providers, and no outage of the core API over an hour (20). Rate limits are published per minute and hour for each environment (15). 429 answers Too many requests with x-ratelimit headers and a Ratelimit-Reset in seconds, the docs say to slow down and increase the delay, and there are no idempotency keys and no Retry-After (10 of 15). What we couldn't check
- unchecked: the tool lists of the AI connector at api.yousign.app/mcp and the Developer MCP at developers.youtrust.com/mcp, which need sign-in or a key; the connector's abilities come from the help centre's examples
