Head to head · 3d world generate · October 2026 research run
SpAItial API (Echo) vs World Labs World API (Marble)
SpAItial API (Echo) scores 56.7 (C) on agent readiness against World Labs World API (Marble)'s 50.1 (D), and leads in 6 of 7 scored categories. Both do 3d world generate.
Which one, for what
Best for Agents and pipelines that need an explorable 3D scene from a prompt, a photo or a panorama, with splat, mesh and floor-plan exports, including game prototyping and real-estate or architecture mock-ups.
Ahead on
- Agent ergonomics, 82 against 70
- Security & auth, 53 against 48
- Payments & pricing, 40 against 20
- Maintenance & community, 48 against 10
- Transparency & trust, 66 against 58
Also in its favour
- Free to start without a card
Watch for
Echo-3 phone-capture reconstruction is in the iOS app and enterprise-only on the API
World Labs World API (Marble) D
Best for Agents that need a navigable 3D scene from a prompt, a photo, several photos or a phone video, as splats, a collider mesh or a textured GLB, at about $1.26 a world.
Also in its favour
- No incidents deducted, where SpAItial API (Echo) loses 3 points for them
Watch for
No free API tier. Credits need a card and a $5 minimum purchase, and Marble app plans and credits don't carry over

SpAItial API (Echo)
Self-serve keys, 800 free credits a month (about five Echo-2 worlds), a public OpenAPI file, idempotency keys and signed webhooks make the async world flow easy to automate. Echo-3, released on 27 October, isn't on the self-serve API, commercial use needs the $99.99 Pro plan, and inputs and outputs may be used for training.
World Labs World API (Marble)
An OpenAPI 3.1 file, llms.txt and per-event credit prices make the World API straightforward to call, and a Marble 1.1 world from text costs $1.264. There is no free API tier, status page or webhook, inputs may train World Labs' models unless the user opts out, and AMD agreed in September 2026 to buy the company.
Before you call either
SpAItial API (Echo)
- Always send
model(echo-2orecho-hq). Since a change dated 14 October, a missing model ordefaultreturns 400 INVALID_INPUT - Send an Idempotency-Key on POST /v1/worlds and POST /v1/panoramas/edit so a retry after a timeout isn't charged twice
- Pass
webhook.urlor poll GET /v1/worlds/requests/{id}/status every 5 to 10 seconds. Echo-2 takes about 8 to 9 minutes, Echo HQ about an hour - Download through the /splat, /panorama or export download_url endpoints just before use; each redirect is a signed URL valid for about 5 minutes
- Worlds made in the web app aren't visible to the API or MCP server. Create through the API if the agent must read the result back
World Labs World API (Marble)
- Send
modelexplicitly, such asmarble-1.1. Omitting it selects the legacymarble-1.0, and that default is due to change - Poll GET /marble/v1/operations/{operation_id} until
doneis true. A world takes about 5 minutes, and a non-nullerrorcarriescodeandmessage - On 429, wait for Retry-After when present and back off with jitter. A start that returned an
operation_idwas accepted, so poll it rather than resend - Multiply splat coordinates by
semantics_metadata.metric_scale_factorand subtractground_plane_offsetfrom Y before measuring anything - Check GET /marble/v1/credits before a batch. A request can overdraw the balance, and the overage is invoiced after the month ends
