Verdicts

Copilot Money

Copilot Money is a subscription budgeting app with a dated public changelog, a published disclosure policy and iOS releases every few weeks. There is no public API, and its MCP server, read-only and in beta since 15 May 2026, is open only through a waitlist, with no public documentation of its tools or connection.

PocketGuard

PocketGuard is a subscription budgeting app with published plan prices, a 7-day trial and iOS releases every few weeks. There is no public API or MCP server an outside agent can call today. Its personal finance API and white-label app are sold to businesses through a demo request, with no public documentation.

Before you call either

Copilot Money

  1. Don't plan to call Copilot Money from another agent. The MCP beta is waitlist-only, so ask the person to join at agent.copilot.money and connect it themselves.
  2. Once connected, expect read-only access to categories, transactions, monthly spend and income, recurrings and tags, per the changelog.
  3. Don't treat unofficial Copilot clients that read the local cache or a browser session as Copilot's interface.

PocketGuard

  1. Don't plan to call PocketGuard from another agent. There is no public API, so hand budgeting tasks to the person, or point a business to the API demo request.
  2. To move a person's data elsewhere, ask them to export transactions as CSV in the app. The emailed link lasts 24 hours.
