How to choose

  1. Whether an agent can bookCheck whether a job can be posted, quoted and booked through an API, since many marketplaces take requests only through their own app or website.
  2. Partner accessCheck whether the API is open to any developer or only to approved partners, because a partner agreement can be the longest step.
  3. Coverage by trade and areaCheck which trades and postcodes or cities are covered, since a marketplace strong in one country may have no tradespeople in another.
  4. Payment, vetting and disputesCheck who takes payment, how tradespeople are vetted and how a dispute is raised, since the agent's user carries the risk of a job gone wrong.

How the benchmark tests this category. In this run, public evidence against the published checklist. When the task suites run, one household job posted through each listing's partner API or sandbox, quotes collected and a booking made and cancelled. We check trade and area coverage, quote fields, booking and payment steps, and what access took.

#1

Taskrabbit Partner API

E 44.3/100

Taskrabbit's Partner API lets approved partners, mostly retailers, estimate, schedule, book, reschedule and cancel fixed-price home services such as assembly and mounting, alongside the Dolly delivery API. Access is granted by Taskrabbit, not self-serve.

Verdict The Partner API covers the whole booking flow (estimate, availability, bid, book, reschedule, cancel) with OpenAPI 3.1 fragments on every reference page, llms.txt, a sandbox and signed webhooks. Access is the limit. Keys come from a partnership manager, prices are negotiated, no rate limits or SLA are published, and the docs still call the home services API coming soon.

Best for A retailer or platform that wants to sell Taskrabbit assembly, mounting and similar fixed-price services in its own checkout, with Taskrabbit's approval.

Strengths

  • Full booking flow in 12 documented operations, from estimate and availability to bid, book, reschedule and cancel
  • Each reference page embeds an OpenAPI 3.1 definition, and llms.txt indexes Markdown copies of all 51 pages
  • Sandbox and production environments for every home services operation

Weaknesses

  • No self-serve access. Credentials come from Taskrabbit after a reviewed request or from a partnership manager
  • No public API price. Commercial terms are agreed per partner
  • No rate limits, 429 guidance, SLA or changelog found in the developer hub

#2

Checkatrade

E 43.9/100

UK marketplace of vetted tradespeople. Its keyless MCP server searches local trades by postcode and books fixed-price Express jobs, and a separate affiliate API lets approved partners send job requests to tradespeople.

Verdict A keyless MCP server from Checkatrade with two typed tools, one read-only search of vetted UK tradespeople and one fixed-price booking flow that stops at a payment link the person completes. No status page, rate limits, changelog or security contact was found, and checkatrade.com's terms and privacy pages refused our reader.

Best for UK homeowners finding vetted tradespeople and booking simple fixed-price jobs such as boiler servicing.

Strengths

  • Keyless remote MCP server. initialize and tools/list answered with no account, key or card on 14 October 2026
  • Both tools have typed input and output schemas with required fields, length limits and an enum for visit slots
  • findTradespeopleV1 is annotated read-only and returns ratings, review counts, badges, phone numbers and profile links

Weaknesses

  • No status page, published rate limits, SLA or changelog found for the MCP server or the affiliate API
  • No error responses are documented for the MCP tools
  • Search returns at most 20 results with no page parameter, although the response reports totalPages

Airtasker

F 36.8/100

Airtasker is a local services marketplace where people post tasks such as cleaning, removals and handyman work and hire a Tasker from the bids. Its hosted MCP server lets an agent browse, post, review bids and hire.

Verdict Airtasker's hosted MCP server lets an agent browse, post a task, read Taskers' bids and hire, with OAuth scopes that keep payments separate from reading and writing. The tool schemas sit behind sign-in, Airtasker's setup article refused our reader, and no rate limits, changelog or MCP status component was found.

Best for Posting household and odd jobs (cleaning, removals, gardening, handyman work) in Australia, the UK, the US and other Airtasker markets, then hiring from bids.

Strengths

  • OAuth through id.airtasker.com with PKCE, dynamic client registration and a revocation endpoint advertised in its metadata
  • Three scopes, airtasker:read, airtasker:write and airtasker:payments, so hiring and paying can be withheld from an agent
  • Seven tools cover the poster's path from posting a task to reading bids and hiring

Weaknesses

  • Tool input schemas, annotations and errors need a signed-in account and were not read
  • Airtasker's MCP setup article and fee pages on support.airtasker.com answered with a bot check
  • No rate limits, changelog or deprecation policy found, and the status page has no MCP component
