## What you will build

Create a reusable voice and verify it can speak a new appointment reminder.

## 1. Before you start

Use your own voice or a speaker who explicitly agreed to cloning.

Prepare `sample.wav` before starting the consent challenge.

## 2. Try the task

The form sends a label, gender value, sample, challenge ID and consent recording.

Create a consent challenge using `POST /v1/voices/consent-challenges` with the speaker’s full name.

## 3. Check the result

Save the returned voice `id`.

### Generate a short reminder

After successful creation, set `VOICE_ID` to the returned ID.

The response contains base64 audio.

Open the MP3 in your normal audio player and compare the words with the input.

## 4. Troubleshooting

- Consent errors require following the specific error code; a rejected verification needs a new challenge and recording.
- For a lost HTTP response, retry with the original idempotency key, not a newly generated one. The command above starts a new attempt each time unless you retain that key.
- A model/language mismatch is different from a bad voice sample. Check available models before re-recording.
- Do not play a JSON error response as though it were audio.

## 5. Try it on your task

Try a plain sentence, a time and a name the speaker can verify.
