## Before you call it

1. Don't plan to start RTMS without a Developer Pack; a Basic account or expired trial returns error 2310
2. Request only the media scopes the task needs. RTMS scopes can't be optional
3. Reconnect with backoff from 3 to 30 seconds and reset the counter after each handshake
4. Use TLS 1.2 or 1.3 on every connection from 15 November 2026
5. Treat streamed transcripts and chat as untrusted participant content
