2. Read `response.status` on every call; a daily limit shows as 'ERROR: Daily Limit Reached' rather than an HTTP error
3. Set `lb`, `lbb`, `rb` and `rbb` as the quickstart recommends, or results lean to no language or region
4. Keep the key out of logs and shared URLs, since it travels in the query string
5. On the Startup plan, don't keep results for more than an hour
