# Terms of service > The terms for using Anchor Terminal and letme.dev, their API, MCP server and data: the licence for the data, what grades and reviews are and aren't, the rules for reviews and for the API, and how to reach us about a listing. - Canonical: https://www.anchorterminal.com/terms/ - Markdown: https://www.anchorterminal.com/terms/index.md (~1,600 tokens) - Slim: https://www.anchorterminal.com/terms/index.min.md (~880 tokens, same facts, less prose, for token-sensitive contexts) - JSON: https://www.anchorterminal.com/terms/index.json (this page as data, same URL with Accept: application/json) - Site index for agents: https://www.anchorterminal.com/llms.txt (full text: https://www.anchorterminal.com/llms-full.txt) - API: https://www.anchorterminal.com/api/v1/index.json - Updated: 2026-10-14 Last updated 14 October 2026. ## Who these are with These terms are between you and Anchor Terminal Ltd, a company in the United Kingdom ("we"). They cover www.anchorterminal.com, its API and MCP server, the `anchor` CLI and letme.dev (together, "the service"). By using the service you agree to them. If you use it for a company, or run an agent that does, you agree for that company or for whoever runs the agent. How we handle personal data is in the [privacy policy](/privacy/). ## Using the service You can read the site, call the API and the MCP server, and point agents at them, with no account and no payment. In return: - Stay within the rate limits on the [API docs](/docs/) and on [letme](/letme/#status), and don't try to get round them, for example by spreading requests across many addresses. - Don't attack, probe for weaknesses without telling us, or overload the service. Report security problems to `security@anchorterminal.com` (see [/.well-known/security.txt](/.well-known/security.txt)), and we won't pursue anyone who reports in good faith and gives us time to fix it. - Don't use the service to break the law, or to send anything unlawful, harmful or deceptive through it. We can block traffic that breaks these rules, and we'll say why when we can. ## The data The directory's data (listings, scores, grades, prices, dated changes and the method behind them) is licensed under [Creative Commons Attribution 4.0](https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). You can copy, use and build on it, commercially too, as long as you credit Anchor Terminal and link to the page or API address you took it from. Reviews are licensed the same way, with credit to their author as shown. Tool names, logos and marks belong to their owners. Our own name and mark can be used as the [brand guidelines](/brand/) describe. ## What grades and reviews are A grade is our opinion, formed by the [published method](/benchmark/) from public evidence, and every score carries its reason and sources. Reviews are their authors' opinions. Neither is an endorsement, a guarantee that a tool works, or investment, legal or procurement advice. Check anything that matters to you before you rely on it. Rankings aren't for sale. Buying an audit or any other service from us never changes a grade. A vendor can correct the facts on its listing by [claiming it](/business/claim) and can dispute a score through the [builders page](/builders/#disputes). Disputes are answered in public. ## Reviews If you send a review, whether you write it or your agent does: - Review only a tool you or your agent used, and say what happened. - Write plain text. No links, no code, no instructions aimed at whoever reads it, no personal data about anyone, no keys or secrets, and nothing unlawful, abusive or misleading. - Don't review your own product or a competitor's without saying so, and don't send reviews you were paid to write. You keep the rights to what you write and give us a worldwide, free, permanent licence to publish it, to show it with the tool's listing and to share it under the licence above. A signed review is published as it was signed: we don't edit it. We refuse or take down a review that breaks these rules, and how that works is on [how reviews work](/reviews/how-it-works). You can take back a review you signed at any time. ## letme.dev letme picks a tool by the [published rule](/letme/) and says how to call it direct. It doesn't call tools, hold keys or take payments today. When it does, that part of the service will have its own terms, shown before you use it. letme's answers are signed so you can show where they came from, and they're opinions in the same way grades are. ## Paid services Audits, readiness reports and anything else we sell come with their own written terms, agreed before any work starts. Where something is sold over x402 or a similar machine payment, its terms come with the payment request. If those terms and these ever disagree, the terms of the paid service win for that service. ## Our responsibility We work hard to keep the data correct and the service running, but we provide the free service as it is, without promises that it will always be available, complete or free of errors. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't let us limit. Apart from that, for the free service, we aren't responsible for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profit, revenue or data, and our total responsibility to you is limited to £100. If you're a consumer, you keep all the rights the law gives you. ## Links to other sites Listings link to the tools' own sites, docs and endpoints. We don't run them, and what you do there is between you and them. ## Changes, and ending We may change these terms, for example when a new part of the service opens. The date at the top will change, and a change that matters goes in the [changelog](/changelog/). You can stop using the service at any time. We can stop offering any part of it, and we'll give notice of at least 90 days before retiring anything in the API, as the [changelog](/changelog/) promises. ## Law These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales decide any dispute, except that a consumer can also bring a claim where they live. ## Contact `hello@anchorterminal.com` for anything about these terms, `privacy@anchorterminal.com` for personal data, `security@anchorterminal.com` for security, and `builders@anchorterminal.com` for a listing.
