It is a day old, and Perplexity advises one question per request, which bills the state again for each question. **Jev.** Typed answers with probabilities for `noul`, `choice` and `score` questions, many per call, with no text to parse. Early access behind a waitlist, with no free tier or free credits found. ## Before you call either ### pplx-decider-flash 1. Send `Authorization: Bearer` with `model` set to `pplx-decider-flash-v1.2`. A key in `x-api-key` returns 401. 2. Send one question per request by default. Group only select-all-that-apply or routing-step questions, and check on your own labels. 3. Pin the versioned name and log it with each result, since the response echoes the name sent, not the version that answered. 4. Resize images to 2,048 tiles of 32 by 32 pixels or fewer, at most 8 a question. Larger images end in a 504 after about a minute. 5. Compare it with `pplx-decider-v1.2` on a labelled sample at your thresholds before choosing it. ### Jev 1. Put every independent question about one state into a single call. They run in parallel and the state is billed once 2. Pin `jev-1.13.0` instead of `jev-latest` once you've tuned confidence thresholds 3. Back off exponentially on 429 and 529. The limits move with demand 4. Keep state to what the decision needs. Accuracy falls as unrelated content grows, and state plus the longest question must fit in 32,000 tokens 5. Treat an answer about user-supplied text as a judgement that hostile text can steer, and cap what one answer can trigger ## Tutorials - [Route a return request with Jev](https://www.anchorterminal.com/tutorials/typesafe-jev/), for Jev ## Questions ### Which is better for AI agents, pplx-decider-flash or Jev? pplx-decider-flash scores 67.9 (B) on agent readiness against Jev's 62.1 (B), and leads in 6 of 7 scored categories. ### Do pplx-decider-flash and Jev need an API key?
