"Misleading claim (-2), read on 21 October 2026. The Tasker API page (route /tasker-api, enabled under Developer in Tasker's navigation, given a Tasker AI page title in the script tasker.ai serves) tells developers to run npx create-tasker@latest and calls Tasker open source. The npm registry answered 404 for create-tasker on 21 October 2026, so the advertised install command fails, and anyone who registers the name could take it. Precedent is Gumloop's -2 for SDK coverage its docs don't bear out. Sources https://tasker.ai/assets/index-on3HrOEj.js and https://registry.npmjs.org/create-tasker/latest (both read by us on 21 October 2026)."

Plan prices and a status page are public. No approval settings, credential storage, model providers or retention periods are documented, and customer content trains models unless Maximum Privacy is selected.\n\n**Tasker AI.** Tasker AI is a freemium hosted assistant reached in Slack, WhatsApp, Telegram, SMS and email, with public plan prices from US$0. Its API, MCP and open-source claims couldn't be confirmed on 21 October 2026. No API documentation was found, and the npm package its API page tells developers to install doesn't exist.\n\n## Before you call either\n\n### Poke\n\n1. POST JSON to `https://poke.com/api/v1/inbound/api-message` with a Bearer key from Kitchen. Legacy `pk_` keys work only on the deprecated `/api/v1/inbound-sms/webhook`\n2. Expect only `{\"success\": true}` back. Poke's answer goes to the owner's message thread, not to the caller\n3. Do not retry a POST blindly. No idempotency key is documented, and a repeated message may make Poke act twice\n4. Treat an API key as full access to the owner's mail, calendar and integrations. Create one key per automation and revoke it when done\n5. Avoid the prefilled integration link with `apiKey` in the query string for real secrets. Enter the key in the form or use `npx poke@latest mcp add -k`\n\n### Tasker AI\n\n1. Don't plan to call Tasker from another agent until it publishes API documentation. GET api.tasker.ai/v1/tasks returned 404.\n2. Don't run npx create-tasker@latest. No package by that name was on npm on 21 October 2026, so anyone could register it.\n3. Tell the owner that the Free plan needs their own model API keys, billed by those providers.\n\n## Questions\n\n### Which is better for AI agents, Poke or Tasker AI?\n\nPoke scores 37.6 (F) on agent readiness against Tasker AI's 7.6 (F), and leads in every scored category.\n\n\n## For agents\n\n- This comparison as JSON: https://www.anchorterminal.com/compare/poke-vs-tasker-ai.json, and with the fewest tokens: https://www.anchorterminal.com/compare/poke-vs-tasker-ai.min.md\n- Over MCP at https://www.anchorterminal.com/mcp (no key): `compare_tools {\"a\": \"poke\", \"b\": \"tasker-ai\"}`. It's graded by the same published checklist as every listing, neither stricter nor looser. Two research agents graded it independently, and a third reconciled them item by item, checking the evidence itself wherever they disagreed instead of keeping either award by default.\n",
