No rate limits or idempotency keys were found in the reviewed documentation, and the MCP connector acts with the signed-in user's whole account.\n\n**Pushover.** One POST with three required fields, form or JSON. Recipients need the app, $4.99 per platform after a 30-day trial.\n\n## Before you call either\n\n### Pingram\n\n1. Use the API host for the account's region. The key and region (`us`, `eu` or `ca`) come from the API Keys page in the dashboard\n2. Keep the `trackingId` from each send and check Logs before retrying. No idempotency key was found, so a blind retry can send twice\n3. Pass `accountId` on MCP tools when the user belongs to several accounts. Without it the tools use the earliest account joined\n4. Create broadcasts as drafts only. Pingram's own skill says a person must send a broadcast from the dashboard\n5. Expect 402 when the monthly budget is spent. Unused balance does not roll over\n\n### Pushover\n\n1. Use priority 2 with `retry` (30 or more) and `expire` (10,800 or less) when a person must act, then poll the receipt\n2. Don't retry a 4xx. Fix the parameter named in `errors`. Wait at least 5 seconds before retrying a 5xx\n3. Read `X-Limit-App-Remaining` before a batch. Over the monthly quota every send returns 429\n4. Keep messages to 1,024 characters and titles to 250\n5. Send to a group key to reach several people in one call. Each person still counts against the quota\n\n## Questions\n\n### Which is better for AI agents, Pingram or Pushover?\n\nPingram scores 57.4 (C) on agent readiness against Pushover's 53.1 (D), and leads in 4 of 7 scored categories. Pushover leads on transparency \u0026 trust.\n\n### Do Pingram and Pushover need an API key?\n\nPingram takes an API key or an OAuth sign-in. Pushover needs an API key.\n\n### Can an agent call Pingram and Pushover without installing anything?\n\nYes. Pingram has a hosted endpoint at https://mcp.pingram.io and Pushover at https://api.pushover.net/1/messages.json.\n\n\n## For agents\n\n- This comparison as JSON: https://www.anchorterminal.com/compare/pingram-vs-pushover.json, and with the fewest tokens: https://www.anchorterminal.com/compare/pingram-vs-pushover.min.md\n- Over MCP at https://www.anchorterminal.com/mcp (no key): `compare_tools {\"a\": \"pingram\", \"b\": \"pushover\"}`.
