New bots start at Full access, so provider permission requests pass without a card, and usage analytics stay on until switched off.\n\n**Unstoppable.** Unstoppable runs several coding agents side by side in separate worktrees on the owner's Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor plans, with dated help articles and a public changelog. It has no API, MCP server or documented command an outside agent can call, every chat starts in Full access, and its pages disagree on which parts need a paid plan.\n\n## Before you call either\n\n### OpenMausBot\n\n1. Ask the owner for a pairing code from Settings \u003e Phone, exchange it at `POST /api/auth/pair`, and set `OPENMAUSBOT_TOKEN` with an explicit `OMB_PORT`\n2. Pass a `send_id` with every `send_bot_message` and `send_channel_message`, so a retry returns the first receipt\n3. Use `wait_for_conversation` instead of polling, and on `needs-user` stop and tell the owner a card is waiting\n4. Check a bot's access level with the owner before sending work. New bots run at Full access unless defaults were changed\n5. Ask the owner to switch off Settings \u003e General \u003e Usage analytics if nothing beyond model calls should leave the machine\n\n### Unstoppable\n\n1. Don't plan to drive Unstoppable from another agent. It has no documented API, MCP server or CLI. Call Claude Code, Codex or Cursor directly and let the person use Unstoppable around them\n2. Inside Unstoppable, check the approval mode before acting. New chats start in Full access unless the person set Ask or Accept edits in Settings, Approvals\n3. When a Claude or Codex usage limit is reached, ask the person before choosing Use credits now or Always use credits, since both spend their AI credits\n4. Keep each task in its own worktree and let the person review the diff and press Create PR, rather than pushing to a shared branch\n\n## Questions\n\n### Which is better for AI agents, OpenMausBot or Unstoppable?\n\nOpenMausBot scores 65.4 (B) on agent readiness against Unstoppable's 34.7 (F), and leads in every scored category.\n\n### Are OpenMausBot and Unstoppable open source?\n\nOpenMausBot is open source (Apache-2.0). No open-source release is listed for Unstoppable.\n\n\n## For agents\n\n- This comparison as JSON: https://www.anchorterminal.com/compare/openmausbot-vs-unstoppable.json, and with the fewest tokens: https://www.anchorterminal.com/compare/openmausbot-vs-unstoppable.min.md\n- Over MCP at https://www.anchorterminal.com/mcp (no key): `compare_tools {\"a\": \"openmausbot\", \"b\": \"unstoppable\"}`.
