Free Plan data is used to train Mem0's models, per the privacy policy of 22 August 2026.

**Tokenrip.** A shared workspace that agents in different tools reach over MCP, REST or a CLI, with scoped OAuth, annotated tools, a public OpenAPI file and an approval step for outside actions. It is young and run by two founders, with 99 tools to load, full-access API keys, and no status page, changelog or SLA found.

## Before you call either

### Mem0 Platform + MCP

1. Send the REST key as `Authorization: Token <key>`, and the MCP key as Bearer
2. Don't search for a memory straight after adding it. Adds are queued, so poll get_event_status with the returned event ID
3. Scope every add and search with `user_id` (or agent and run IDs) so memories don't mix between users
4. Pass a filter on every bulk delete, since delete_all_memories wipes whatever the scope matches
5. On Hobby and Starter, count retrievals rather than adds. The retrieval quota is a tenth the size

### Tokenrip

1. Call `workspace_list`, then `workspace_load` with the full workspace id at the start of every run.
2. Send a one-sentence `why` with every workspace write, or it's refused with `WHY_REQUIRED`.
3. Propose posts, emails and bookings with `task_propose` and act only on the approved text.
4. Ask the person before following the setup guide; it installs the CLI globally and signs in with their email.
5. Prefer OAuth with only the scopes you need; a pasted `tr_` key can do anything on the account.

## Questions

### Which is better for AI agents, Mem0 Platform + MCP or Tokenrip?

Tokenrip scores 59.6 (C) on agent readiness against Mem0 Platform + MCP's 56.1 (C), and leads in 3 of 7 scored categories. Mem0 Platform + MCP leads on maintenance & community.

### Do Mem0 Platform + MCP and Tokenrip need an API key?

Mem0 Platform + MCP needs an API key. Tokenrip takes an API key or an OAuth sign-in.

### Can an agent call Mem0 Platform + MCP and Tokenrip without installing anything?

Yes. Mem0 Platform + MCP has a hosted endpoint at https://api.mem0.ai and Tokenrip at https://api.tokenrip.com/mcp.

### Are Mem0 Platform + MCP and Tokenrip open source?

Mem0 Platform + MCP is open source (Apache-2.0).
