The SDKs are MIT (18 of 30). The privacy policy covers email data and says imported mail isn't used to train non-personalised models and is deleted after termination under the service terms and DPA; retention periods for mailbox content weren't found (20 of 30). No deprecation policy or dated notices for the Mail API (0). Sub-processors and data locations for Hostinger Email weren't checked (0, unchecked). Total 38.
- Postfleet (34): The service is closed. The MCP server and SDK are MIT on npm, but the terms name no company, address or governing law, so a customer can't tell who they contract with (10 of 30). The privacy policy and terms agree on retention (original 7 days, cleaned mail 90 days, webhook payloads 7 days, signup IP 30 days), say mail isn't used for training, and disclose Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and an OpenAI ads pixel with a server-side signup event carrying a hashed email. The DPA is on request only, returned within 60 days (20 of 30). No deprecation policy or dated notices; the terms change when the page changes (0 of 20). The privacy policy names no processors or regions and says it doesn't claim EU residency; the docs name AWS SES, Resend and Claude Haiku in passing (6 of 20).

### Payments & pricing: Postfleet +20

- Hostinger Agentic Mail (10): No x402, MPP or L402 (0). Prices are public per mailbox per month, with the lowest only on 48-month prepaid terms (10 of 20). No free plan; a 30-day money-back guarantee after paying (0). Mailboxes and tokens are bought and created in hPanel by a person (0). Total 10.
- Postfleet (30): No x402, MPP or L402 in the docs or the OpenAPI file (0 of 40). Four plans with public prices and limits, but no per-message metered price (10). Free has no card, with 100 comprehended messages, 3 mailboxes and 3,000 sends a month (20). A person has to sign up and create keys in the dashboard. The homepage says the agent provisions its own address with no account page, which is true of mailboxes once a key exists, but not of the key. The demo inbox needs no signup but is a demo under /api/demo, not API access (0 of 20).

### Reliability: Hostinger Agentic Mail +7

- Hostinger Agentic Mail (42): Graded with the hosted lines. Hostinger's Statuspage at statuspage.hostinger.com has components for Hostinger Mail SMTP inbound and outbound, IMAP and POP3, webmail and backups, but none for the Mail API or the MCP server (14 of 20). The status host's robots.txt disallows /api/ and the history page loads by script, so only the front page's 15 days (23 October to 6 November) were read, with one Outgoing Emails Service Degraded Performance incident; the longer record wasn't read, a limit of our reading (10 of 30). No request rate numbers; daily sending limits per mailbox are published, 1,000 on Starter and 3,000 on Standard and Premium (5 of 15). The docs say to wait after a 429 and warn that repeated hits can block the IP, with no Retry-After or idempotency on send (3 of 15). No SLA for email found (0). No beta label (10). Total 42.
- Postfleet (35): Graded with the hosted lines, on the REST API with the MCP server noted. No status page found. /status still answered 404 on 4 November and none is linked (0). No readable incident history (5). Sending limits are published with numbers (holds at 20 attempts a minute and 100 an hour, Free at 100 sends a day and 3,000 a month, monthly quotas per plan), but read limits aren't, Free's new-recipient limit has no number and the comprehend route's hourly cap is unstated (10 of 15). Sends take a `client_id` with a full replay table, errors carry `retryable`, and the docs say which outcomes to retry with the same key and which need a new one. API 429s document no `Retry-After` or reset time (10 of 15). No SLA found on any plan (0). Nothing on the site calls the API or MCP server beta or preview, though both packages are 0.x (10).

## Score by category

| Category | Weight | Hostinger Agentic Mail | Postfleet | Edge |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Reliability | 16% (20 this run) | 42 | 35 | Hostinger Agentic Mail +7 |
| Performance | 10%, pending | pending | pending | not scored in this run |
| Schema & documentation | 13% (16.2 this run) | 84 | 83 | Hostinger Agentic Mail +1 |
| Agent ergonomics | 13% (16.2 this run) | 76 | 72 | Hostinger Agentic Mail +4 |
| Security & auth | 14% (17.5 this run) | 70 | 68 | Hostinger Agentic Mail +2 |
| Payments & pricing | 10% (12.5 this run) | 10 | 30 | Postfleet +20 |
| Task success | 10%, pending | pending | pending | not scored in this run |
| Maintenance & community | 7% (8.8 this run) | 77 | 75 | Hostinger Agentic Mail +2 |
| Transparency & trust | 7% (8.8 this run) | 62 | 34 | Hostinger Agentic Mail +28 |
| Negative events | ≤15 | 0 | 0 | |
| **Total** | | **60.1 · C** | **57.4 · C** | |

## Facts side by side

| Fact | Hostinger Agentic Mail | Postfleet |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Kind | HTTP API | HTTP API |
| Vendor | Hostinger International Limited | Postfleet |
| Hosted endpoint | `https://mcp.mail.hostinger.com/mcp` | `https://api.postfleet.ai/api/v1` |
| Transports | HTTP, Streamable HTTP | HTTP, Streamable HTTP, stdio |
| Auth | API key | API key |
| Pricing | Paid | Freemium |
| x402 | no | no |
| Licence | none | Proprietary hosted service under Postfleet's terms (effective 6 October 2026), which name no company or governing law. Sends take no idempotency key, request limits have no numbers, and there is no free plan; every mailbox is bought in hPanel on a long prepaid term.

**Postfleet.** Agent mailboxes over REST, webhooks and a 16-tool MCP server, with mailbox-bound keys, required idempotency keys on MCP sends, server-side approval and documented screening that keeps raw mail out of MCP reads. The screening is the vendor's claim, untested by us. Under four months old, it names no operator and has no status page, changelog or security contact.

## Before you call either

### Hostinger Agentic Mail

1. Call `GET /api/v1/me` first to get the mailbox resource IDs the token can reach
2. Ask the owner to set an outgoing allow list before letting an agent send unattended
3. Check the Sent folder before retrying a send, since sends have no idempotency key
4. Read message text with the text-content endpoint, which doesn't mark the message as seen
5. Back off on 429; repeated limit hits can block your IP address for a while

### Postfleet

1. Check `comprehension.status` before acting; `skipped_injection_risk` mail still arrives as cleaned text and must be handled as untrusted data.
2. Treat a 202 `pending_approval` from `send_email`, `reply_email` or `send_draft` as success and never retry it; follow up with `list_drafts`.
3. Reuse the same `client_id` when retrying a send, and use a new one after a terminal 402, 403 hold or permanent 400.
4. Call `list_mailboxes` before `create_mailbox`; each create makes another mailbox and retries are not idempotent.
5. Give a reading agent a mailbox-bound key with `can_send` false, and keep the account-wide key outside the worker.

## Questions

### Which is better for AI agents, Hostinger Agentic Mail or Postfleet?

Hostinger Agentic Mail scores 60.1 (C) on agent readiness against Postfleet's 57.4 (C), and leads in 6 of 7 scored categories.
