Why the edge:
- Reliability, Youtrust +23: Docusign 62 (Read with the hosted lines and scored on the eSignature REST API, with the MCP server noted. health.docusign.com is Docusign's own status centre with incidents and maintenances by product and site, severity levels and a history view (20). The page draws its incidents by script from a data feed on the same host. The 7 October count came from that feed, which this run's rules don't read, so it's struck, and the window from 4 August to 2 November is unread (5). Limits have numbers, 3,000 API calls an hour per account and a 500-call 30-second burst limit, in Docusign's developer blog, re-read on 2 November (15). The same post names the x-ratelimit headers and the burst reset, and the 23 June 2026 post moved hourly, burst and polling limit errors to HTTP 429 so standard backoff and retry applies. The spec's `transactionId` lets a sender check whether an envelope was created after a lost response, valid for seven days, but there's no general idempotency key (12 of 15). No SLA was found in the Master Services Agreement or the terms index (0). The eSignature API v2.1 is generally available (10). 20 + 5 + 15 + 12 + 0 + 10 = 62.); Youtrust 85 (Read with the hosted lines and scored on the Public API v3 at api.yousign.app, the surface both MCP servers call. yousign.statuspage.io on Atlassian Statuspage has an incident history and a feed (20). Between 5 August and 3 November 2026 the feed records HTTP 500 errors on the public API from 11:24 to 11:35 and 14:42 to 15:19 CEST on 7 October, caused by an infrastructure provider; about 45 minutes of delayed advanced and unavailable qualified signatures on 13 August; identity verification delays at a third-party provider on 1 September (most of a day), 2 September, 14 September and 16 October (33 minutes); 16 minutes of delayed seals on 16 October; email delays to Microsoft mailboxes on 4 September; and Orange network routing on 2 October. Several incidents, mostly at identity providers, and no outage of the core API over an hour (20). Rate limits are published per minute and hour for each environment (15). 429 answers Too many requests with x-ratelimit headers and a Ratelimit-Reset in seconds, the docs say to slow down and increase the delay, and there are no idempotency keys and no Retry-After (10 of 15). The API pricing page states 99 per cent and 99.9 per cent SLAs on the Plus and Pro plans (10). v3 is generally available (10). 20 + 20 + 15 + 10 + 10 + 10 = 85.)
- Schema & documentation, Youtrust +20: Docusign 70 (Spec files for eSignature v2.1 (Swagger 2.0, 213 paths, 414 operations, re-read on 2 November; the repository's last commit is 3 July 2026, build 26.2.01.01) and ten other APIs are public under MIT in docusign/OpenAPI-Specifications. The MCP tool schemas sit behind sign-in, so the API carries this line (25). developers.docusign.com/llms.txt returns 404 on 2 November, and no Markdown copy of the docs was found (0). Operation descriptions are long and say what a call is for (the median is 179 characters and Envelopes:create explains drafts, templates and required fields), though 43 of 414 are under 40 characters (15 of 20). The eSignature spec has no `enum` and no `required` list on any schema, and no security definitions. Valid values are listed in prose (6 of 15). Docusign keeps code examples in six languages on GitHub, and its 23 June 2026 developer post lists 16 error codes with status, message and fix, but the spec documents only a 400 with `errorCode` and `message` on every operation (12 of 15). The API is versioned (v2.1, builds such as 26.3.01.02) and the SDK changelogs are dated (12 of 15). The Developer Center renders by script, and its guide, error-code and changelog pages were read on 1 and 7 October through the site's page data, which this run doesn't read, so those readings are struck and this note rests on the spec, the SDK repositories and Docusign's blog. 25 + 0 + 15 + 6 + 12 + 12 = 70.); Youtrust 90 (A public OpenAPI 3.0.0 file with 178 operations on 114 paths, a bearer scheme and 282 enums (25). developers.youtrust.com serves llms.txt, a per-section llms.txt and a Markdown twin of every page (10). Every operation has a description, 28 of them under 40 characters, and the guides explain the signature request lifecycle, when to use templates and the Tolerant Reader rule (14 of 20). Required fields, 282 enums, a Safe String type with stated rules, and a free-form metadata object (13 of 15). 1,307 examples in the file, every operation documents 400, 401, 403, 404, 405, 429 and 500, the error page gives the type, detail and invalid_params shape with retry guidance per code, and a list of error types is published (15). v3 in the path, a versioning page with compatibility rules, a Deprecated tag in the file, and a changelog with ten entries dated 13 to 21 October 2026 and an RSS feed, with no removal timeline (13 of 15). 25 + 10 + 14 + 13 + 15 + 13 = 90.)
- Maintenance & community, Docusign +20: Docusign 81 (The PHP eSignature SDK 10.0.0 was tagged on 29 October 2026 and the Node SDK (docusign-esign) 10.1.0 on 14 October 2026, for eSignature API build v2.1-26.3.01.02 (30). In the 90 days from 4 August, Java 6.8.0 (19 August), C# 11.1.0 (5 October), Node 10.1.0 and Java 6.9.0 (14 October), Ruby 7.1.0 (15 October) and PHP 10.0.0 (29 October) (20). Closed service with a public changelog, a support centre and a developer support page. The changelog renders by script and wasn't re-read on 2 November, and we didn't test a support channel (10 of 15). Official SDKs in six languages. The Node SDK tracks build 26.3.01.02, while the stable Python package is 6.1.0 from 13 March 2026 with only release candidates since (8.0.0rc1 on 5 June) (15). The Node SDK repository has integration tests and a dated changelog, no CI workflow is visible in it, and the spec repository's last commit is 3 July 2026, behind the SDKs' 26.3 build (6 of 10). 30 + 20 + 10 + 15 + 6 = 81.); Youtrust 61 (Read as a closed service. The changelog's newest entries are dated 21 October 2026 (30). Ten entries between 13 and 21 October 2026 (20). A help centre, contact@youtrust.com in the OpenAPI contact block, a changelog RSS feed and a feedback form for the AI connector. No public issue tracker (8 of 15). No official SDK; the GitHub organisation holds no client library and the docs point to generators and Postman (0 of 15). The OpenAPI file is current with the October changes and the MCP setup page was updated on 7 September 2026 (3 of 10). 30 + 20 + 8 + 0 + 3 = 61.)
- Payments & pricing, Youtrust +10: Docusign 30 (Read with the hosted rubric. No x402, MPP or L402 (0). Plan prices are public without login, re-read on 2 November, $50, $300 and $480 a month billed annually ($600, $3,600 and $5,760 a year) with a starting envelope allowance, and no per-envelope or overage price is shown (10). The developer account is free with no time limit and most capabilities enabled, on a demo environment where envelopes aren't legally binding. We didn't run the sign-up form to confirm no card is asked for (20). A person signs up in a browser, creates the integration key and grants consent, and production adds a Go-Live review (0). 0 + 10 + 20 + 0 = 30.); Youtrust 40 (Read with the hosted rubric. No x402, MPP or L402 (0). API plan prices are public without login, Plus from €104 a month and Pro from €129 with €2 per extra signature (20). The sandbox trial lasts 40 days and needs no credit card per the API pricing page (20). A person signs up in a browser and an Admin creates the key there (0). 0 + 20 + 20 + 0 = 40.)
- Agent ergonomics, Docusign +7: Docusign 70 (Envelope listing takes `count` and an `include` parameter to add recipients, folders and other detail, but there's no field selection and envelope objects are large, per the spec. The MCP tool list sits in the script-rendered Developer Center and wasn't read (15 of 25). `count`, `start_position`, `continuation_token`, and filters by date, status, folder, user and search text (20). Errors carry an upper-case `errorCode` and a message on every operation, and Docusign's 23 June 2026 post rewrote 16 messages to say what failed, why and how to fix it and moved rate-limit errors to 429. The full error-code page wasn't readable (15 of 20). `transactionId` guards envelope creation for seven days. There's no general idempotency key, and we couldn't see whether the MCP tools carry readOnlyHint or destructiveHint (8 of 20). Official SDKs in C#, Java, Node.js, PHP, Python and Ruby. A first call still needs the account ID and base URI from /oauth/userinfo (the SDKs' getUserInfo), and an envelope definition is verbose (12 of 15). Developer Center readings taken through the site's page data on 7 October are struck. 15 + 20 + 15 + 8 + 12 = 70.); Youtrust 63 (List calls take limit and filters, and a signature request's documents, signers and fields are fetched by their own calls, so responses stay moderate. No field selection (14 of 25). Cursor pagination with limit and after on 26 list operations, with status, workspace_id, created_at and date range filters (20). Errors carry a type an agent can branch on, a detail and invalid_params naming the field and reason, with guidance to retry only 500 and 503 (17 of 20). No idempotency keys. A request is a draft until activate, pause and cancel are explicit calls, and the MCP tools' annotations couldn't be read (6 of 20). A first send takes four calls (create, add document, add signer with fields, activate), identity and seal options add more, and there is no official SDK in any language (6 of 15). 14 + 20 + 17 + 6 + 6 = 63.)
