Why the edge:
- Reliability, ZoomInfo API + MCP +59: Databar 28 (Hosted lines. No status page linked from the site or docs (0). No incident history to read (5). The 20 August changelog says rate limits return 429, but no numbers were found in the docs read (5 of 15). The SDK backs off on 429 per the 28 September entry, tasks can be cancelled with a refund, and no Retry-After or idempotency key is documented (8 of 15). No SLA found (0). The MCP server left beta on 15 July 2026 and the API is generally available (10). 0+5+5+8+0+10 = 28.); ZoomInfo API + MCP 87 (Graded with the hosted lines. Atlassian Statuspage at status.zoominfo.com with 16 components, among them ZoomInfo Enterprise API, Enrich and GTM Studio (20). The history page for 3 August to 1 November 2026 shows one major incident on GTM Studio audiences on 4 September lasting 93 minutes, an eight-hour audiences issue on 24 September marked no impact, a list-processing issue on 4 August, a NeverBounce job-processing incident on 28 October marked minor, Chorus incidents, and none naming the API component (20 of 30). Limits published per package on three windows, from 5 a second on Builder to 35 on Scaling (15). 429 carries `Retry-After` and names the exhausted window, and rejected requests do not consume quota. No idempotency keys found for audience writes (12 of 15). The Licence Terms and Conditions guarantee 99.9 per cent monthly availability (10). API v1, MCP server and CLI carry no beta label (10).)
- Transparency & trust, ZoomInfo API + MCP +21: Databar 55 (Closed service with terms effective 1 October 2026 naming Databar, Inc. of Delaware (15 of 30). The privacy policy keeps data 'for as long as needed' with no periods; the docs give 24 hours for task results; a DPA is part of the agreement but was not read (15 of 30). The changelog flagged breaking API and SDK changes on 20 August 2026, and the terms let Databar retire any form of programmatic access; no notice period stated (8 of 20). Sub-processors are disclosed under the DPA, which was not read; data is processed in the United States (5 of 20). 15+15+8+5 = 43.); ZoomInfo API + MCP 76 (Closed service with published terms naming ZoomInfo Technologies LLC, and an MIT CLI (15 of 30). The privacy policy covers people in the database and customers, names sources (web scanning, third parties, a research team, customer contributions and ZoomInfo Lite email access), a Data Protection Officer contact and a removal route. Retention has no fixed period, and the pricing page says both that credits never expire and that they expire after 12 months (22 of 30). Two rate-limit headers carry a removal date of 1 January 2027 and breaking changes are promised only in a new API version, but superseded MCP tools carry no dates and no deprecation policy was found (10 of 20). Sub-processor list updated 17 July 2026 with locations and roles (18 of 20).)
- Security & auth, ZoomInfo API + MCP +18: Databar 47 (A workspace API key in a header, never in the URL, and OAuth on the MCP with a Connected apps page to revoke access. No scopes found (20 of 30). No read-only key; MCP balance checks and confirmation above 50 credits, a 30-day trash for workbooks and tables, but row, column and table deletes through the tools (12 of 20). Enrichment results include web-scraped and AI researcher text, with no prompt-injection guidance (3 of 15). Credit usage charts, transaction logs and per-request data logs (12 of 15). No security.txt, disclosure policy, bug bounty or certification found (0 of 20). 20+12+3+12+0 = 47.); ZoomInfo API + MCP 65 (OAuth 2.0 with PKCE or client credentials, 20 scopes, short-lived tokens, and client self-registration on the MCP server. No secret travels in a URL (28 of 30). Read and manage scopes are separate, admins switch API access on or off per user and cap credits per user, and Update GTM Context needs admin rights. Four MCP tools write, no confirmation step is built in, and there is no organisation-wide switch for MCP (13 of 20). News, scoops and conversation data are untrusted text, and no prompt-injection guidance was found (4 of 15). A usage endpoint, credit dashboards for admins and a `requestId` on errors. No per-call audit log found (8 of 15). ZoomInfo's `llms.txt` states SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, ISO 27701 and TRUSTe. The trust centre is drawn by script and was unread, security.txt answered HTTP 500 again on 1 November, and no bug bounty was found (12 of 20).)
- Maintenance & community, ZoomInfo API + MCP +10: Databar 73 (Closed service. Python SDK 2.9.0 on 30 October 2026, 7 days before this check (30). SDK 2.7.0 and 2.8.0 on 6 October and changelog entries on 23, 24, 27, 28, 29 and 30 September and 1 October (20). A public changelog, roadmap and feedback portal, an email address, and a Slack channel on Scale (10 of 15). An official Python SDK and CLI, no other languages (10 of 15). Package health not checked (3 of 10). 30+20+10+10+3 = 73.); ZoomInfo API + MCP 83 (GTM CLI v2.2.1 on 28 October 2026 (30). CLI releases 1.1.0, 2.0.0, 2.1.0, 2.1.1, 2.2.0 and 2.2.1 since 26 August, plus Release Hub entries dated 1, 5, 6, 9, 13, 19 and 20 October 2026 (20). A public Release Hub, a support address in the docs and a GitHub issue tracker for the CLI, whose handling we could not see (10 of 15). The hosted server is in the official MCP registry as `io.github.Zoominfo/zoominfo-mcp` at 1.0.1, published 3 September 2026, pointing at https://mcp.zoominfo.com/mcp, under the GitHub namespace of the vendor's own organisation. The 9 October check could not reach the registry. No official SDKs, and the CLI is current (15). The CLI repository has release workflows, semantic-release and npm provenance attestations (8 of 10). 30+20+10+15+8 = 83.)
- Agent ergonomics, ZoomInfo API + MCP +5: Databar 66 (69 MCP tools with no toolsets found (5), and REST row reads sized by `per_page` with `has_next_page` (10 of 25 for the two together). Pagination, row filters and a search parameter on enrichments (16 of 20). Errors name the fix, such as unknown columns with the available ones, 406 for credits, 409 for a stale `internal_version` and 410 for expired results (18 of 20). Upserts by key, version tokens on flow edits, cancel with refund, and MCP confirmation above 50 credits; MCP tool annotations not confirmed (13 of 20). Python SDK and a CLI, one language (9 of 15). 10+16+18+13+9 = 66.); ZoomInfo API + MCP 71 (Graded on the REST API, with the MCP server noted. Enrich calls take an `outputFields` list and the CLI has `--select`, so responses can be sized. The MCP server lists 27 tools on its tools page with no toolsets found (18 of 25). Search pages with `page[number]` and `page[size]` up to 100 records, with many filters and a cap at page 100 (18 of 20). Coded errors with a recommended action, a `retryable` flag and a table of recovery steps for agents (18 of 20). No idempotency keys found. Rejected 429 requests cost nothing and search is free, but a repeated enrichment is free only under Records Under Management, which the pricing page limits to Enterprise. MCP tool annotations could not be read without an account (10 of 20). No official SDKs, a JSON:API envelope on every request, and one official CLI (7 of 15).)
- Payments & pricing, ZoomInfo API + MCP +5: Databar 35 (No x402, MPP or L402 (0). Plan prices and credits are public, and each connector's credit cost is shown before a run and in the enrichment's pricing field; credits aren't sold per call outside a plan (15 of 20). A 14-day premium trial with no card, per the pricing FAQ (20). A person signs up in a browser, and API access needs a paid plan (0). 0+15+20+0 = 35.); ZoomInfo API + MCP 40 (No x402, MPP or L402 (0). Per-credit prices are public, $0.05 an AI credit and $0.38 a data credit at the $1,000 spend tier, with top-ups from $20 (20). A free account with 1,000 data credits and 1,000 AI credits needs no card (20). A person signs up and completes OAuth in a browser (0).)
