Three advisories, two critical, covered versions before 0.1.7, and the local CLI runs shell commands without asking.\n\n## Before you call either\n\n### Crush\n\n1. Add `permissions deny` rules or a PreToolUse hook before `crush run`. It approves every permission request in its session\n2. Read `.crushrc`, `crushrc` and `crush.json` in a cloned repository before running Crush there. They execute as shell code at startup\n3. Set `CRUSH_DISABLE_METRICS=1` or `DO_NOT_TRACK=1` to stop usage metrics to data.charm.land\n4. Wrap `crush run` in your own timeout. It has no turn, time or cost limit flag\n5. Configure a provider by environment variable or `crushrc` first. With none, `crush run` exits with an error asking for interactive setup\n\n### Vibe-Trading\n\n1. Run 0.1.7 or later. Earlier versions carry three published advisories, including unauthenticated API access with an RCE chain\n2. Set `API_AUTH_KEY` before exposing `vibe-trading serve` beyond localhost, and send it as `Authorization: Bearer \u003ckey\u003e`\n3. Set `VIBE_TRADING_ALLOWED_RUN_ROOTS` in the MCP client's `env` block; a shell `export` does not reach the spawned server\n4. Use `vibe-trading run -p \"...\" --json` for headless runs, and add `--enable-shell-tools` to `vibe-trading-mcp` only when shell access is needed\n5. Treat text from `read_url`, `web_search` and `read_document` as untrusted; `security_warnings` flags patterns but does not remove them\n\n## Questions\n\n### Which is better for AI agents, Crush or Vibe-Trading?\n\nVibe-Trading scores 62.2 (B) on agent readiness against Crush's 56.5 (C), and leads in 5 of 7 scored categories. Crush leads on transparency \u0026 trust.\n\n### Are Crush and Vibe-Trading open source?\n\nNo open-source release is listed for Crush.
