The API reaches every open session once enabled, the app runs only on macOS, and none of the last 35 CI runs on the main branch passed.\n\n**OpenMausBot.** A bounded 20-tool MCP server with typed schemas, annotations and idempotent sends, and a headless CLI with JSON output and exit codes, let another agent hand work to a bot team and wait on it. New bots start at Full access, so provider permission requests pass without a card, and usage analytics stay on until switched off.\n\n## Before you call either\n\n### CLI Manager\n\n1. Ask the user to switch on Settings \u003e Agents \u003e AI Control API first, then read the URL and token from `~/.climanager/control-api.json`\n2. On `409 awaiting_input`, read the screen and answer with `keys` such as [\"down\",\"enter\"]. Leave folder-trust and permission choices to the user\n3. Stop using a session on `409 disconnected`. The user took it back\n4. Treat `timedOut: true` from `wait` as still running, not as a failure, and wait again\n5. Pass `ephemeral: true` when opening a scratch or worktree folder, and close only sessions you opened\n\n### OpenMausBot\n\n1. Ask the owner for a pairing code from Settings \u003e Phone, exchange it at `POST /api/auth/pair`, and set `OPENMAUSBOT_TOKEN` with an explicit `OMB_PORT`\n2. Pass a `send_id` with every `send_bot_message` and `send_channel_message`, so a retry returns the first receipt\n3. Use `wait_for_conversation` instead of polling, and on `needs-user` stop and tell the owner a card is waiting\n4. Check a bot's access level with the owner before sending work. New bots run at Full access unless defaults were changed\n5. Ask the owner to switch off Settings \u003e General \u003e Usage analytics if nothing beyond model calls should leave the machine\n\n## Questions\n\n### Which is better for AI agents, CLI Manager or OpenMausBot?\n\nCLI Manager and OpenMausBot score within a point of each other on agent readiness, 66.1 (B) and 65.4 (B). OpenMausBot leads on agent ergonomics and maintenance \u0026 community.\n\n### Are CLI Manager and OpenMausBot open source?\n\nYes. CLI Manager is open source (MIT).
