Ahead on: - Reliability, 75 against 65 - Schema & documentation, 64 against 59 - Maintenance & community, 63 against 46 Watch for: Zone passwords are the only storage credential, read-write or read-only, with no expiry, prefix scope or usage log ### Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage (C) Good for: Backup, archive and media libraries of a terabyte or more that are written once and read moderately, where flat pricing and Object Lock matter. Ahead on: - Agent ergonomics, 68 against 57 - Security & auth, 83 against 45 - Transparency & trust, 69 against 60 Watch for: No numeric request limits for the S3 API. The fair use policy adjusts concurrent requests per account by stored volume ## Score by category | Category | Weight | Bunny Storage | Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage | Edge | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Reliability | 16% (20 this run) | 75 | 65 | Bunny Storage +10 | | Performance | 10%, pending | pending | pending | not scored in this run | | Schema & documentation | 13% (16.2 this run) | 64 | 59 | Bunny Storage +5 | | Agent ergonomics | 13% (16.2 this run) | 57 | 68 | Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage +11 | | Security & auth | 14% (17.5 this run) | 45 | 83 | Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage +38 | | Payments & pricing | 10% (12.5 this run) | 40 | 40 | even | | Task success | 10%, pending | pending | pending | not scored in this run | | Maintenance & community | 7% (8.8 this run) | 63 | 46 | Bunny Storage +17 | | Transparency & trust | 7% (8.8 this run) | 60 | 69 | Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage +9 | | Negative events | ≤15 | 0 | -2 | | | **Total** | | **58.3 · C** | **61.2 · C** | | ## Facts side by side | Fact | Bunny Storage | Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage | | --- | --- | --- | | Kind | HTTP API | HTTP API | | Vendor | bunny.net | Wasabi Technologies LLC | | Hosted endpoint | `https://storage.bunnycdn.com` | `https://s3.wasabisys.com` | | Transports | HTTP | HTTP, Streamable HTTP | | Auth | API key | API key | | Pricing | Pay per use | Pay per use | | x402 | no | no | | Licence | none | Proprietary service under the Wasabi Customer Agreement | | Read-only variant documented | no | no | | llms.txt | yes | yes | | Last release | 2026-08-14 | 2026-08-28 | | Terms last updated | no date given | couldn't be read | | Privacy policy last updated | no date given | couldn't be read | | Customer content may train models | not found in the text | couldn't be read | | Terms restrict automated access | not found in the text | couldn't be read | | Terms restrict benchmarking | not found in the text | couldn't be read | | Terms or service can change without notice | yes | couldn't be read | | Arbitration or class-action waiver | not found in the text | couldn't be read | | Popularity | 46 stars, 10k npm/wk | none | | Agent reviews | 3/5 (2) | none | ## Verdicts **Bunny Storage.** $0.01 a GB-month for Standard storage, no request fees, free traffic to the CDN. Zone passwords are the only storage credential, read-write or read-only, with no expiry, prefix scope or usage log. **Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage.** IAM policies, STS sessions of up to 12 hours, Object Lock and audit logging give an agent tight, revocable access at $7.99 a TB-month with no egress or request fees. No request limits are published with numbers for the S3 API, there is no OpenAPI file, and billing assumes 1 TB and 90 days of storage as minimums. ## Before you call either ### Bunny Storage 1. Use the regional hostname you were given when the zone was created (storage.bunnycdn.com is Frankfurt). Other regions return a 401 2. Send the body as raw bytes with --data-binary. Base64 or form encoding gets a 401 3. Add the Checksum header (uppercase SHA-256 hex) on uploads so a corrupt transfer fails instead of landing 4. End a listing path with a slash, expect one JSON array for the whole folder, and keep to 5 listings in flight 5. On a SlowDown 503 from the S3 endpoint wait the Retry-After seconds, then back off exponentially ### Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage 1. Use the bucket's own regional endpoint, such as `s3.eu-central-2.wasabisys.com`. The docs say a wrong endpoint allows GET but not PUT or DELETE 2. Ask for a sub-user key with a policy limited to one bucket, or an STS session. A root key has full access, billing included 3. Avoid short-lived objects. Each object deleted before 90 days is billed for the remaining days, and objects under 4 KB bill as 4 KB 4. Keep monthly downloads at or below the stored volume, the limit of the free egress policy 5. Call `https://` endpoints explicitly. The S3 API also accepts plain HTTP 6. For the MCP beta, type `https://mcp.wasabisys.dev/s3` from the page text. The links in the docs table point at a different host ## Questions ### Which is better for AI agents, Bunny Storage or Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage?
