Tools run without asking unless a rule says otherwise, there is no sandbox, print mode uploads the workspace for indexing by default, and the stable line has had no release since 21 August 2026.\n\n**Muse Code.** Muse Code runs with approvals and an OS sandbox on by default, per-host network approval, an append-only event log and a headless mode with documented exit codes. It is the only route to Muse Wonder Full. It is closed source with undated release notes and no free route, and subscriptions allow training on code unless Contributor mode is turned off.\n\n## Before you call either\n\n### Auggie CLI\n\n1. Pass `--max-turns` with `--print` in pipelines to bound how many turns, and so how much usage, a run can take\n2. Commit deny rules to .augment/settings.json before an unattended run. Tools no rule matches follow the CLI's implicit behaviour, which the docs don't define\n3. Add secrets and data directories to .augmentignore before the first print-mode run, because indexing uploads the workspace by default\n4. Use a service account token in CI on team and Enterprise plans. A personal session from `auggie token print` runs with that user's integrations\n5. Pin the version in CI. `latest` is 0.x, while `preview` and `daemon` carry 1.x prereleases whose permission rules ignore some legacy tool names\n\n### Muse Code\n\n1. Set `META_API_KEY` for headless runs. Browser sign-in isn't available in CI or for Meta Managed Accounts\n2. Gate on your own test command, not the exit code. `muse exec` returns 0 when the turn completes even if tests still fail\n3. Pass `--max-model-steps` on unattended runs so a stuck task can't loop\n4. Prefer `--disable-approval` to `--yolo` in CI so the sandbox stays on. On Linux the runner needs a working bubblewrap and a non-musl build\n5.
