It has no API, MCP server or documented command for another agent, it is five days old, and it rebuilds itself from the main branch every six hours by default. **OpenInstinct.** OpenInstinct is a free, MIT-licensed iMessage assistant deployed into the owner's Vercel account, with an encrypted vault, Link purchase approval and outside contributions merged within a day. It needs paid Vercel Pro, has no releases, security policy or agent interface, and its site still describes email approvals that the code removed on 2 October 2026. ## Before you call either ### Atticus 1. Don't plan to call Atticus from another agent. It takes requests only from its own shortcut and typing box 2. If a user runs Atticus beside you, expect it to move windows and type into apps on the same Mac 3. Point a user who wants pinned versions to Settings > About & Updates to turn off self-update ### OpenInstinct 1. Don't plan to call OpenInstinct from another agent. It answers only the owner's iMessage thread and web workspace. 2. Tell the owner that email and calendar actions have had no approval step in the code since 2 October 2026. 3.
