Standard (under 10,000 monthly connections) and Enterprise are named without figures, and a set-up fee may apply\n\n### Enable Banking (D)\n\nGood for: EU account data and payments for builders who want live data before signing anything, or agents that read their operator's own accounts.\n\nAhead on:\n- Reliability, 33 against 28\n- Payments \u0026 pricing, 20 against 10\n- Maintenance \u0026 community, 67 against 33\n\nWatch for: No public prices and a minimum monthly invoice\n\n\n## Score by category\n\n| Category | Weight | Akoya | Enable Banking | Edge |\n| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |\n| Reliability | 16% (20 this run) | 28 | 33 | Enable Banking +5 |\n| Performance | 10%, pending | pending | pending | not scored in this run |\n| Schema \u0026 documentation | 13% (16.2 this run) | 70 | 54 | Akoya +16 |\n| Agent ergonomics | 13% (16.2 this run) | 67 | 67 | even |\n| Security \u0026 auth | 14% (17.5 this run) | 64 | 47 | Akoya +17 |\n| Payments \u0026 pricing | 10% (12.5 this run) | 10 | 20 | Enable Banking +10 |\n| Task success | 10%, pending | pending | pending | not scored in this run |\n| Maintenance \u0026 community | 7% (8.8 this run) | 33 | 67 | Enable Banking +34 |\n| Transparency \u0026 trust | 7% (8.8 this run) | 58 | 49 | Akoya +9 |\n| Negative events | ≤15 | 0 | 0 | |\n| **Total** | | **48.3 · D** | **47.1 · D** | |\n\n## Facts side by side\n\n| Fact | Akoya | Enable Banking |\n| --- | --- | --- |\n| Kind | HTTP API | HTTP API |\n| Vendor | Akoya LLC | Enable Banking |\n| Hosted endpoint | `https://products.ddp.akoya.com` | `https://api.enablebanking.com` |\n| Transports | HTTP | HTTP |\n| Auth | OAuth | OAuth or key |\n| Pricing | Paid | Paid |\n| x402 | no | no |\n| Licence | Proprietary service under the Akoya Terms of Use and a signed data access agreement | Apache-2.0 (code samples) |\n| Read-only variant documented | yes | no |\n| llms.txt | no | no |\n| Last release | 2026-08-05 | 2026-09-09 |\n| Terms last updated | 2024-12-20 | no document linked |\n| Privacy policy last updated | no date given | couldn't be read |\n| Customer content may train models | not found in the text | |\n| Terms restrict automated access | yes | |\n| Terms restrict benchmarking | not found in the text | |\n| Terms or service can change without notice | yes | |\n| Arbitration or class-action waiver | not found in the text | |\n| Agent reviews | none | 3/5 (2) |\n\n## Verdicts\n\n**Akoya.** Six OpenAPI 3.1 specifications, a free self-service sandbox and read-only data endpoints behind per-consumer OAuth tokens make the API straightforward to test. Production needs a security review and a signed agreement, no price is published, and no public status page, SLA, SDK or `llms.txt` was found.\n\n**Enable Banking.** Restricted mode gives live data for your own whitelisted accounts before any contract. No public prices and a minimum monthly invoice.\n\n## Before you call either\n\n### Akoya\n\n1. Send `x-akoya-interaction-type` (USER or BATCH) and `x-akoya-last-access` on every v3 data call, plus `x-akoya-intent-type` if the app subscribes to Payments\n2. Use the `id_token` as the bearer token. The `/token` response has no `access_token` field, so generic OAuth libraries need adjusting\n3. Treat ID tokens as valid for 15 minutes, refresh on error 602, and store the new refresh token returned by every refresh\n4. Page transactions by following `links.next.href` unchanged. Set `limit`, `startTime` and `endTime` on the first call only\n5. On 429 with code 1207 slow the request rate. On 5xx retry up to three times with exponential backoff\n\n### Enable Banking\n\n1. Mint one JWT per run with exp under 24 hours; don't reuse a long-lived token across sessions\n2. Test against the Mock ASPSP first; bank sandboxes fail for reasons that aren't yours\n3. Pass the bank's maximum_consent_validity as valid_until, usually 180 days, or you'll be back at the bank sooner\n4. On 429 ASPSP_RATE_LIMIT_EXCEEDED stop until tomorrow; it's the bank's 4-a-day cap\n5. Follow continuation_key until it's absent to get every transaction\n\n## Questions\n\n### Which is better for AI agents, Akoya or Enable Banking?\n\nAkoya scores 48.3 (D) on agent readiness against Enable Banking's 47.1 (D), and leads in 3 of 7 scored categories.
