By Vlad Cealicu, 31 October 2026. 855 words, about 4 min to read.

My last business took two years and a team of ten people to reach two million page views.

I spent twelve years building CryptoCompare, and I was the CTO the first time we got to two million.

## What a day looks like now

At 22:38 on Friday 30 October I sent a launch post about opencommerce and asked whether we should list it.

This is that Friday from git and GitHub, counted at 23:45 [[2]](#ref-2).

- 28: pull requests opened, 26 merged by midnight
- 93: commits on main
- 24: new listings graded (20 on the site that night, 4 waiting for review)
- 17: research agents I started, one per listing or check (Quynh ran her own)

Friday 30 October 2026

The same day we shipped accounts, live stats, a security sweep, the company dashboard and four blog posts.

## Why it feels surreal

I know roughly how long things take, and that sense is now wrong by a factor I can't hold in my head.

The other surreal part is that it already does anything I need.

## Every model drop is an expansion

I don't know if anyone can relate to this, but it feels like going from vanilla WoW to The Burning Crusade.

It's weird.

## It isn't only software

Software is where this showed up first, because the work is text and you can check it by running it.

## What worries me

Checking becomes the job.

Claims will outrun checks.

The gap gets wider.

## What's next

I'm going to keep counting.
